So I'm finally moving into a regulated boxmod (Hana clone from FT) I also have a FT torch wondering if it is safe to use the batteries for the Hana with the torch? since both are 18650 this would make carrying a spare super simple, (I need the torch for work).

I DO NOT intend to use the battery that came with the torch in the Hana! Would the used battery from the Hana have enough left in it to get me through the night? Meaning, use the the Hana throughout the day, battery starts to fade, (switch with the charged batt in the torch). Would there be enough power in that battery for the few moments I may need it.

get a battery bank, then can just usb charge off the bank. Can get a full charge or so, depending how large you go. They have a solar rechargeable banks also. Heck, can get a dc usb converter plug, I also have a batt jumper, that has an air compressor, dc out, light, always take it with me while traveling, great for emergency flat inflation or repair, and several full starts. I can charge on the go, in the woods, and when stranded on a deserted road. May die of thirst and starvation, but never from not vapen.!!! :D

Thanks for the reassurance. Now to find a great charger that can charge to 4.35v just in case I grab these. My buddy uses them in his mech and swears by them.

I certainly can't say those batteries are bad, but I believe their maximum continuous discharge rating is 2C, or 6 amps. Would make a nice flashlight battery, but I wouldn't use them in a mech.

Edited to add:

If you do get the right charger, don't put your Sonys in there on 4.35 volts, you'll trash them.

Those are ICR. Personally, I would want to stick to the safer chemistry IMR (Like the VTC4 and VTC5) for both flashlight and mod.
