Thanks David for talking me through this. The only connection problem I can find is the copper post on the cap that is supposed to touch the protruding circle on the atty is recessed from the threads on the cap. I assume that when I screw on the atty it cannot touch the copper because the atty cannot touch the copper. The protruding circle at the end of the atty just hits the threads on the cap. Is it supposed to be recessed?
did i send you out a 510 model rather then a 801 by mistake?(possible, given i do mix things up at times) The only ones with a recessed brass center post are the 510's. The 801's brass center post is flush with the top of the atomizer threads. Any chance you could post up a pic of the atty and the top of the adapter with the brass center post in view?
They're totally different threads though right..(for lack of a better term) 510 atty has a male connector on it and an 801 has a female connector right?..so the 510 adapter endcap is female and the 801 one is male correct?
my question would be is the brass center connector inside the end cap adapter in any way adjustable? is it possible to just tap the brass connector pin in the center of the adapter (end cap) from the inside to shimmy it back flush with the top of the adapter threads David?
I had to do that with some 510 to 901 adapters that I had...the center post had to be shifted one way or the other
