Okay so I just got a volcano lava-tube v2.5. I primed it properly like instructions said 4 drops. I started getting a burnt taste and dry hits now it won't even fire...what have I done wrong and what can I do to fix this issue.
Lava tube 2.5 would be your power system. The part that the battery is in.
Cannot tell you what might be wrong with what is on top unless you can tell us what that is.
4 Drops is not much liquid so no help there.
If you have a Carto tank - 4 drops is not nearly enough liquid to Prime - More like 20-25 and several minutes to fill/soak in. Likely the Carto is burnt out.
HMMM..... I didnt even know what a lava tube was i had to google that bad boy just looks like a vv possibly vw mod
but so quick question where did you put the drops of liquid at in the lava tube? or in the atomizer on the top? what kinda tank do you have the one that comes with the kit or did you purchase something else to go along with it
I really think 4 drops depending on the tank is not enough if you want to prime it but thats just my opinion
What atomizer or dripper are you using? Did you wind your own coil? If yes, what were the ohms of that coil? I Google searched lava tube and according to my search it will run a atomizer as long as it's 3.0 ohms or higher I'm thinking this is where your problem likely lies. Try a coil that's higher resistance than 3.0 and see how it fares. Hope this helps

I looked up the specs on the Lavatube 2.5. It has a 3amp limit -- approximately 1.5ohms on a fully charged battery
From the User Manual:
Short Circuit/Atomizer Protection: The LAVATUBE can recognize an atomizer with too low of a resistance for the current voltage setting and will drop the voltage/wattage to a low enough setting to protect both the battery and atomizer. If the atomizer is too low or shorted out it will shut off power to the device to protect the LAVATUBE from being damaged.
Amperage Limiting: 3 amps – The device should monitor and shut itself off if it detects any excessive over-current conditions.
