So I'm goin to build my first mod with a sx350 chip of course I'm goin to use wood instead of the Hammond project boxes can't afford that at the moment still any suggestions on whether I should use a single 26650 or dual 18650s?

Well, you've got no amp draw issues with a single 18650 batt. I think you can get more mAh from 2 18650s than from any 26650s I know of, so I would go for the twin 18650s. 2 Sony VTC5s would give you 5200 mAh and 30A discharge. Not bad considering you'll only draw about 14A max :)

Just came accross this in the block post from Yihie in the forum. In a section describing the difference between SX300 and SX350, they are recommending against two batteries:

No it says "we suggest only one battery". Which is a far cry from recommend. Suspect they purposely don't answer the question and only suggests, is the added fusing issue involved and possible liability.

Is this one still have that silly motion activation crap?

I posted a question about the dual setup on the hana clone thread but maybe I can get a little mkre attention here , retird helped best he could but for lack of better verbage I need better help lol I plan on using mamu arlo setup but plan on replacing the dna 30 with my sx350 chip. I am an admitted noob and perhaps have no business trying my hand at modding but I feel like I have everything down except the mathematics and technical knowledge. Last thing id want is to fry my chip or worse. Would the doubled up fuses used in her tutorial work well for this chip? Am I better off just getting a regular project box instead using the battery charging case? Should I abandone the dual 18650 setup entirely?batteries plan on using are sony vtc5s.

Most likely......yes, it's gravity sensing therefore require only one fire button.

Yes, I can across Mamu's post last night. It's an amazing a well documented instruction with parts can really do wonders to a built. Can't thank her/him enough. It seemed that with the Arlo set up, as long as one runs two (MINISMDC260F/16-2) fuse in parallel (4 fuse total, it should be safe to run two 18650 batteries). I also was planning to running two 18650 battery in parallel. After receiving the my initial order of boxes and the keystone 1042 battery holders, I opted to go with a thicker box and one 26550 battery set up. I will still apply manu's technique on the fuse, just as a safety precaution. I just ordered 2 x MNKE IMR 26650 4000 mA from Kidney Puncher.....I am so afraid of getting fake ones from China....sighed.

I also found this one the forum...someone already done the reverse polarity fest for two 18650 battery set up with two fuse in parallel for each positive lead in theory should work. (the fuse is slightly different than Mamu's....since Mamu's parts can be found easier, I will go with her recommendation)
