Wooden box mod vv pot trimmer with knob HELP!!

I need help with my newest mod idea I have built a few puck mods and got the basics down I want a wooden box mod which shouldn't but too hard but I want it to be variable voltage with a voltage indicator screen and to control the voltage I want to use a knob I have done my research and found some help but not really enough to actually feel confident enough doing it I will be running either 3 AAs or 3 18650s (also which would give me more power aa or 18650?) and using a 510 connection. Does anyone have any experience with this?

The best way to learn (that I've found) is to spend some time just reading random threads here. If you're looking for something specific, the forum search engine kind of sucks. I use a Google site search to find particulars such as mods that use certain parts. Just type or paste everything inside the asterisks into the Google search field:
*[keywords] site:www.e-cigarette-forum.com*
Make sure to replace [keywords] with your search subject. This also allows you to preview content to an extent without clicking the links.

I'd strongly recommend more research on batteries too. 3xAA=3.6v - 1x18650=3.7v.

Also, an image search (I like Bing for this one) will sometimes yield good results as far as wiring or inspiration goes - try searching for "e-cig VV wiring" or "e-cig wood mods" and you should come back with some very useful results. A lot of the images are tied to threads in this forum....

You do realize that 3 AA's in series produces 4.5 volts max while 3 18650's produces 11.1 volts???
