It's Dalbergia sissoo... or shisham wood... a fast growing hardwood also called Indian Rosewood... large planks are worth a fortune... the incense burners are made from branches and scrap... it's nice stuff!

I dont see why not as long as I can fit it in under a .6 inch hole.
Is it still 9mm thick there? I could make a brass housing for a tac switch if you're not switching full current... that might be cool!
Well my switch has no safety, so I have to keep an eye on it

the sides are a little thinner at 6mm.
Looking at spec sheet I shouldnt be at full current on the droput pin with the NCP630. Perhaps someone can verify this.o
Should be a piece of cake... Let me see what I can pull together for you... The current will be fine firing that regulator with a tac switch.

This was made on the old lathe... The new one is not set up yet, and probably won't be for at least another week... Installing and adjusting the runout on a 650 pound machine in a basement is a pretty big effort.
Well im working on a brother to the first one I built. Made this one completely from scratch with Brazilian Cherry. All in all so far its looking better than the first. The lessons I learned the first time around are making things come together better Ill post some pics of the new one as soon as it has its next sanding.
