First let me say, some of you may have read my review of the RedBull 36mg from Jeff and Lauren and I may need to retract a statement I made. From the looks of it, word-up is a fairly new company and thats my reasoning as not seeing much talk about them around here. They do have their own thread and if your interested go check it out!!!
Now onto the review....
Some of you may know that ordered a sampler from these guys awhile back in 36mg strength. I was vaping their juice and for some reason come evening I was getting a headache and almost feeling flu-ish. I contributed it to the high nic content and dismissed there juices all together. Well last night I was looking for something to cleanse my pallet with something minty or refreshing. I looked through my tacklebox and the only thing I found was Word-Ups newport.
I cut it a litte with some straight VG to lower the nic content, I normally Vape lower nic juices later in the night. The last thing I need is to havea nic high at midnight or worse get that crappy feeling again. I would say my proportions were about 4:1 juice:VG.
Again I found that word-Up's liquid performs great. I did add a little bit of VG so I assume that affected the vapor production some but it was probably minimal.
Vapor Production: On my own personal scale I would place this above average. Were I to put in on a scale of 1 - 10 (1 being absolutely no vapor what so ever, 10 being can't see the laptop screen unless I wave my hand through the fog to disperse it) I would give it a 7.
Throat Hit: now it keeping with the VG additive, I would assume that this would lower the throat hit as PG is usually responsible for this. It was a sharp one. I give it an 8. It didn't have me coughing but I did feel that bite in the back of my throat. I used to smoke Newport full flavor in my analog infancy and remember they packed quite a punch.
Flavor: On inhale I tasted a cool fresh flavor entering my lungs but not much of tobacco. Upon exhale I received more what I can best describe as the taste when exhaling with a halls original cough drop in my mouth (I believe it's mentholyptus) accompanied with a tobacco flavor. Not a smooth virginia type flavor but a more pronounced tobacco flavor. I don't have any other minty or menthol flavors to compare it to but like I said word-up has made it back into my rotation for a nice refreshing pallet cleansing vape. I give it a 7.
I'd just like to also say that I found out that you can leave a note for Jeff or Lauren when you place an order stating you would like more or less flavor. they make their juices as the orders come in and will make adjustments according to your tastes.
May I also say that I considered myself a fairly heavy smoker. 15 years, Started with Newport full flavor and about 9 years ago moved to Camel Wide Full Flavor. I ordered the 36mg because of that reason and they didn't upcharge on the higher percentage. IMO I made a mistake by doing this. I warn anyone fairly new to vaping to consider this advice when ordering. If you like to vape it's always better to order a little bit lower nic level because it will allow you to vape more frequently without gets any of the negative affects of nicotine overintoxication. Which in my experience was a headache and flu type feeling which always subsided in the a.m. when I woke. The headache stayed with me the next morning for a few hours. Just my two cents!!!!!
I encourage anyone who has had an experience with Word-Up in any way shape or form to write a review either here or on their thread. My experience with them is Jeff and Lauren are good people who will go out of their way to please a customer and adjust to personal tastes.
Thanks!!!
