Don't really need it with the rx200 . lol but I could always USB charge them.

Based on everything I've read; I'd suggest getting a separate travel charger, to ensure your batts recharge at the same rate and maintain the best performance for the longest time possible.

You can recharge batts in the RX200 through the USB port, but no one, (including Wismec), recommends it.

I have a charger . but also have charged the RX many times since I've gotten it by USB. I think the main concern would be to have quality batteries. Not any knock off types.

I'm sure it works fine. I'm just relating all the advice I've read on the Wisec DNA200 and RX200 regarding batteries, i.e. use 3 new ones of the same brand and model, (high quality goes without saying ;) ), use them only in that device, and always charge them together in a separate charger. I'm sure this is just to maximize the longevity and performance of the trio. As you already know, it's not absolutely necessary.

I'm pretty sure there's nearly zero risk of catastrophic battery failure, so long as you're using undamaged 18650's with a CDR and MCA of 20+ Amps. The whole "marry your batts and charge em together in an external charger for your Reuleaux" thing is just to maximize what you get from your equipment. ;)
