I'm going to be making a dna 30 mod out of a 2nd generation iPod and I wanted to make it so that the iPod's original buttons work for the mod. Just about every tutorial I've seen involves box mods where buttons are bought and installed. I don't really know much about circuit boards so this could be a stupid question but, if I only need a portion of the circuit board, can I cut the rest off to save room? The top half of the circuit board where the screen was, I don't need at all. Here's a picture: http://i.imgur.com/dcpADgV.jpg

Also was wondering if anyone knew where I might be able to find something on connecting existing buttons when working with something similar to the Nintendo controller mod. I've got almost all the parts and I'm starting soon! I'm really psyched about this. Any other advice in general would be appreciated as well. Thanks!
