I've built a standard nicostick and I am looking to step up a bit. I'm wanting to build a mod with on board charging and a protection circuit for the IMR batteries.

I'm thinking of using this protection circuit:
Tenergy 32002 Protection Circuit Module (PCB) Round for 3.7V Li-Polymer Battery 3.5A Working (6A cut-off)

And this charger:
LiPo Charger Basic - Micro-USB - SparkFun Electronics

Attached is a picture of my proposed circuit. First off please excuse my hand drawing. Secondly is this circuit correct ? If were to vape on this while the charger is hooked up then would the atty be directly powered by the charger and not the battery, if so how should I change the circuit so that power from the atty always comes from the battery and not the charger ?

Edit: to add pic

I've been working on the same thing! Glad to see others are also interested in this, as it just doesn't seem to be a hot topic like vv...

Here's the thread I started, might be some helpful info there - http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...internal-usb-charging-best-safest-method.html

Your pic is helpful, as I've been drawing the same thing in various ways... Maybe I'll post one of mine tomorrow.
That should be drawing power from battery just like you/me desire.

I finally have a clear idea of how I'm going to do this, but I won't be happy until I've built it and it works. I'm going slower than I did on my past five mods because this is a much less common designe, and safety is paramount... I want it to charge a single 18650 imr or protected li-ion as good/safely as my tr-001 charger does.

That should indeed work. I have a Jessy, which is an eGo style PV with integral USB charging. I have had it apart, and it works almost exactly how you have it set up. The only difference is that the charging circuit has it's own protection, and is connected directly to the battery. If you trust your charger, you could do the same, but I don't see a need to.
