What a coincidence - today is World vaping Day, and my order of juices arrived today from Preferred Vapor. I bought a couple of sample-sized bottles to try out the quality - I've never tried any Preferred Vapor juice prior to now.

I am currently vaping PV's Killa Vanilla VG/PG, 18mg - first impression is very good. Very nice strong vanilla smell out of the bottle and on inhale. Flavor fades quickly before the exhale, but that is expected. Good vapor production. No complaints here.

I also have a bottle of Killa Vanilla 100% VG, 18mg - I haven't tried this one yet and will try it later tonight.

They also sent me freebie sample bottle of "Midnight Cowboy, 12mg" - I have no idea what it is, but it's dark and smells good.

:)

Niiiiiiice! Celebrate by sending out emails. :D Please? With sugar on top?

Isn't Obama a smoker? or was?
Like your motto...feel the same way.

I posted my story on TheWhiteHouse.gov link Submit Questions & Comments | The White House
There is a 2500 character limit for the comment so I had to modify my story from the email to make it fit. I also changed the last sentence from Please quit attacking... to Please support... I also removed the media comment from the letter because I was not addressing the media I was addressing our president. Everything counts today so why wouldn't we also address our concerns to the white house. :vapor:

I smoked 1 1/2 packs of cigarettes per day for over 37 years and have never been able to quit for any length of time beyond a couple of days. I experimented with inexpensive e-cigarettes back in December of last year as an alternative to smoking cigarettes. After trying several different brands and types I found a personal vaporizer (e-cig) that enabled me to quit smoking tobacco all together and on March 6, 2013 I smoked my very last cigarette and have remained tobacco free ever since.
There are approximately 600 ingredients in cigarettes. When burned, they create more than 4,000 chemicals. At least 50 of these chemicals are known to cause cancer, and many are poisonous. The electronic cigarette, on the other hand, has 4 ingredients: propylene glycol and/or vegetable glycerin, food grade flavoring (optional) and nicotine (optional)...all FDA approved ingredients, and none of which have been proven to cause cancer.
CIGARETTES ARE MUCH MORE HARMFUL!
I tried patches, gum, drugs, and cold turkey and nothing has ever worked to help me become tobacco free. Listen to the “man on the street” and you will find there are more of us that have quit smoking tobacco by using e-cigarettes than you think; we number in the hundreds of thousands, if not millions. And that number grows every day.
It has been 197 days since I last had a cigarette. That comes to 4925 cigarettes that I have NOT smoked and over $1545 that I have NOT spent on tobacco cigarettes. None of this was ever possible without e-cigarettes. I continue to use e-cigarettes (vape) and enjoy it very much. At the age of 47, I have not lost my sweet tooth and I readily use the flavored e-liquids for which, I feel, as an adult is my right to choose.
Publicly the drive for the last 10 years has been to get smokers to quit using tobacco, and now that we finally have a device that really works, there has been nothing but criticism and misinformation reported by the news outlets, health officials, and anti-tobacco groups. I find it strange that these same groups would rather I continue to use tobacco instead of using a now proven and successful harm reduction device like e-cigarettes. Nobody is hiding alcohol consumption from alcoholics or food from the people with eating disorders therefore there shouldn’t be pressure from anyone to hide or ban something from tobacco users, especially if it helps people quit using tobacco. Please support the only harm reduction product that keeps me tobacco free.

Edit: my motto is go BIG or go home

Well, I change the wording of my original and sent it to my congressman so why not go all the way to the top. Today is our day and our stories need to be in all the hands that CAN do something to stop the madness that is going on with the FDA and CDC.

Great writing, mind if I borrow that. (of course making the changes that need to be made).

Heading off to an afternoon of meetings, it has been great and encouraging reading everyone stories and successes.

Sent my emails off early early this morning. Added several for local media.

Am going to start a master file of emails addys for next year, so there'll be plenty of time to research correct addresses. Am going to add addys for local commissioners and politicos as well. I like the idea too of including foreign media and orgs. (Just had a thought that I should have included the Philippine FDA... heh heh)

I am seriously impressed by the efforts here!

PS: I sent my emails out separately. Don't know if it made a difference (7 were returned as undeliverable) but it passed the time :)

Twitter's tracking ~30 tweets per hour with tag #worldvapingday , worldwide. Much support from vendors. Someone even posted a well wishing video.

Keep it up!
