Sent mine just before bed. Got 7 failures out of 40. Not bad. Happy NVD ALL!!!!
Emails sent, but most of them I got failure notices.. Tried both sets of addresses.
I have no idea what that means.. I just copied and pasted. Out of time now. I know some got through, will have to be happy with that.
sent mine this morning. I don't know how many will come back as undeliverable but hopefully most will reach their source.
edit: currently my inbox shows 3 returned undeliverable. 1 address had to be removed in order to send as it was giving some error. Also received 1 acknowledgement that it was received.
Sent...I wonder if anyone will read it.
Just sent mine. I had five that bounced. Hope many more people will send the emails! A mass effort will make a difference if only to get the media's attention. Thanks to all who organized this and worked so hard putting it together!
Dear Sir or Madam.
I would like to take a few minutes of your time and share with you my story and ask for your support.
I was a pack and a half a day smoker for 30 years. It has been 20 days since I last smoked a cigarette. That is approximately 465 cigarettes that I have NOT smoked, and over $125 that I have NOT spent on tobacco cigarettes. While the number seems small, multiple this number times 2 as my partner has joined me, then add on a another 1/3 since both my boys have quit in this past year as well.
Our family owe this to Personal Vaporizers (electronic cigarettes).
As my boys (for the record, are adults) made the switch, spent time giving me information about Personal Vaporizers, I researched I found success stories so I decided to try. I did not have much hope, just the desire to break free from the smoking of tobacco since I was beginning to feel the unhealthy effects.
Just in this short time of twenty days that I have gone from smoking to personal vaporizers, I now breathe easier and have more energy. I no longer cough. I do not stink of tobacco. I no longer pollute the air around me. I feel healthier physically and mentally since in my previous attempts to quit smoking my days were filled with panic attacks and anxiety. The immediate transformation in my overall health has been so amazing that I no longer desire to smoke tobacco.
I tried the nicotine gum, the nicotine patches, the drugs that were available I can not take due to medication allergies, the only thing has given success in my case is the personal vaporizer (electronic cigarette).
I am not the only one with this experience. Ask the man on the street, spend some time reading the social medias and forums and you will find there are more of us that have quit smoking tobacco by using e-cigarettes than you think and are leading healthier lives today as a result of it. We number in the hundreds of thousands, if not millions. And that number grows every day.
I want to get the word out to every news organization. I ask that you not be misled by the vocal, counterfactual (lying), advocates for the industries and organizations whose profession is tobacco and e-cigarette prohibition. Those organizations include big tobacco, big pharmaceutical, big healthcare, and our government, which is heavily invested in those entities. They cite old, disproved, poorly enacted studies to back up their claims.
They claim that e-cigarettes might be harmful. Might. They ignore the recent studies that show e-cigarettes and personal vaporizers to be many magnitudes safer than tobacco cigarettes.
There are approximately 600 ingredients in cigarettes. When burned, they create more than 4,000 chemicals. At least 50 of these chemicals are known to cause cancer, and many are toxic.
The electronic cigarette, on the other hand, has up to only 4 ingredients, all FDA approved ingredients, none of which is toxic and and none of which has been proven to cause cancer: propylene glycol and/or vegetable glycerin (found in many FDA approved foods), food grade flavoring (optional) and nicotine (optional).
The voices you will hear today, on World Vaping Day, are those of us who who have switched from smoking tobacco to using the much safer e-cigarette. There are more of us than you may think; in this country alone, we number in the hundreds of thousands, if not millions. Worldwide, we number in the millions, if not tens of millions. And that number grows every day. Each and every one of us is prolonging life and improving health.
And we do this by harming no one. We are no health danger to anyone. We are simply trying to break free from one of the most addictive substances on Earth.
Today, I am a non-smoker. I am a vaper. Please don't let misinformation and disingenuous legislation block my access to the only thing that has kept me off of cigarettes.
