World vaping Day is Thursday March 22nd, 2012

World vaping Day is Thursday March 22nd, 2012

Here comes the freebie part, and what you have to do to qualify for the random drawing.

1. No purchase necessary
2. All are eligible to participate

Your mission:

Write an e-mail to your local newspaper and tell them about World vaping Day. The links above should give you enough information to share. They love the Smokeout, why not Vaping Day? Let's get them excited about the concept.

Letters to the editor, reporters, whoever may be able to influence a story on the event.

CC me when you send the e-mail, david@valleyvapor.com

I've got 2 tickets to Vapefest in Chicago that need a new home....

Let's put a time limit on this one, you have until this Thursday at midnight to CC me your emails.

Friday I'll pick two of the submissions at random, and we'll arrange how you get your free ticket to Vapefest.

Good luck!
Dave

Dave, will you extend the deadline?

I don't see any reason why we couldn't... maybe everyone was too worried about getting some (or getting in trouble) on Valentines Day.? :)

How about Sunday night? Let's change the requirements too....it doesn't need to be a newspaper. Any media would be fine....and it doesn't need to be a 500 word essay or anything. Simple note to draw their attention to the links is more than sufficient.

Silly prizes, pointless games. All in fun...

I'll send message but can't go to vapefest as i'm in California :D

That's ok Starlight. You owe me a prize. lol. I only live 4 hours from ChiTown.

I got an e-mail sent off. I will put it here too, in case anyone wants to read it. Thank you Valley Vapor for supporting this first World Vapor Day. I had not yet heard about it.

Mr. Bxxxxx,
I was a smoker in high school. That was over 30 years ago. I smoked about a pack a day my whole life. I had tried to quit, several times. Nothing worked. I was convinced I would die a smoker.

I didn't like smoking. It cost a big chunk of my pay check. $2000 per year for me to kill myself seemed like stupidity, but I couldn't quit.

About nine months ago, I bought an electronic cigarette kit (personal vaporizer). They e-cig vaporizes propylene glycol, glycerin, artificial flavorings and nicotine (not required). I was able to get nicotine, in the same hand to mouth habit I was accustomed to. I quit smoking in three days. I have not had a cigarette since.

Thursday, March 22nd, 2012 is the first World Vaping Day – a worldwide event recognising the phenomenal success of the new alternative to smoking. In celebration, I just wanted to share my story.

Thank you,
Dxxxx Bxxxx

guess i will post what i sent here also maybe it will motivate others to do the same;

Dear Editor,

I was a long time smoker, dependent on a product that not only slowly kills me but kill the ones I love around me. I had tried quitting cold turkey, gum, and the patch but none of these methods worked for me. Even though I knew I stank like an ashtray and was ruining my health I could not quit, then I decided to try an e-cigarette. I must admit my first experience with the store bought disposable was bad, it gave me a headache and it didn't do what I thought it should do. I went back to smoking analogs (thats what e-cig smokers call them). A few weeks later I decided to go online and look into a better alternative to smoking and I found a community of x-smokers who got together in a little space of the internet to help each other and help other smokers quit. They quickly told me what kind of e-cig i should start with and what supplies I would need.

That was a month ago, I haven't touched an analog since nor do I have any desire too. There are so many possibilities wrapped around vaping (thats what we do instead of smoking) that there is no reason to go back to smoking. Not only can I vape almost any flavor I can think of from pizza to chocolate cake (and everything in between) I can still get nicotine without all the cancer causing agents that were attached to it. I can breath better, I smell better and I am not blowing out harmful smoke by my friends and family. Plus its alot cheaper.

The reason I am telling you this is that on Thursday, March 22nd, 2012 CASAA is joining up with organizations around the world to promote World Vaping Day. I thought that your newspaper should try to help other people who smoke find a better way to live by educating your reading group about this.

here are a couple links:
World Vaping Day
National Vaping Day - USA

Thank you for your time.
Sincerely,
Daniel Leipart
