I've just started vaping 24mg juice. Should I worry when I spill some on my hands, if I wash it off right away? What about if my ecig "spits" juice into my mouth - I know nicotine has a much lower oral toxicity than otherwise ingested, will I get nicotine poisoning if it's swallowed or even simply in my mouth?

I smoked a half pack per day before I started vaping, if that makes any difference.

I wouldn't worry too much, it's 24mg per milliliter and it's roughly 20 or more drops per ml, so a few drops isn't going to be too bad for you. Just wash it off, and if it gets in your mouth rinse it out. If you're working with higher concentrations of nicotine though you'll probably want to wear gloves.

I've suffered at least one pretty gnarly cankersore as a result of getting ejuice in my mouth after a carto flooded on me. I don't know if it's a common experience, but a friend who also vapes has said he has, too. If I get it in my mouth or on my skin I tend to rinse, just as a precautionary measure. Although I don't believe it will be extremely bad if you don't/can't rinse off.

60 MG at one time is what you have to worry about, when you get a few drops on your fingers or in our mouth that would be less than 24mg/ml. Canker sores can becaused by acid in the juice like fruit flavor with citric acid in it or red hots. Also Canker sores can happen when you first start vaping, the floria in your mouth will change going from smoking to vaping naturally. You might even get inflamed gums to begin with but that all will go away.

In my experience when you get juice in your mouth you know it right away and there is not much of it. It has happened many times to me and never hurt me in any way that I know of, other than making me invent some really weird facial expressions because of the nasty taste. I don't bother rinsing when that happens. I regularly get a few drops of juice on my fingers and it has also never done me any harm. I wipe with a paper towel when it's convenient and eventually I will wash my hands.

OTOH, I make my own juice and have worked with 100 mg/ml base. The first thing I did was to reduce it to 48 mg. I wore gloves for that and shut my dog in another room until I was done.
