Hi all,

I am always getting a sweet taste from my (regular, 11mg) cartridges whenever I e-smoke and feel an oily substance on my tongue. This is probably some of the cartridge content being sucked out from the hole at the back of the cartridge. My question is.....

Since the liquid is getting into my mouth, is it possible that I could get nicotine poisoning by ingesting? I cannot judge the amount of liquid I'm pulling in but it is constant with every e-smoke and its starting to worry me as I've only been e-smoking for a week.

Thanks for any replies. I'm learning a lot from this forum.

I sometimes get that but since my juice isn't really high and I haven't had overdose symptoms I don't worry about it.

If it's not making you feel queezy or anything I guess it's not something to be too concerned about. Just try to avoid it happening if you can.

People say they get juice in their mouth more from super minis. That's because of the short cartridge. The mini is a bit longer and the classic longer still so are less likely to cause problems. You might be drawing too hard on the mouthpiece, maybe you could check if it's something to do with technique.

Welcome to the forum.

Thanks for your input Kate,

Wikipedia says "40–60 mg (0.5-1.0 mg/kg) can be a lethal dosage for adult humans". I guess I won't ever get near to that dosage so I will stop worrying, unless I find any evidence of "cumulative" nicotine poisoning. I.e. if nicotine remains in the blood stream and is not eliminated, ingesting tiny quantities over a long period might have a cumulative effect. I'll keep on looking. If I find something I'll update the thread.

A good slow easy longish draw gets plenty of vapor for me ... I dont even wait for the LED to flash.

ayeah Jack-Flash, I'm realising that now and paying more attention to the draw. I was too eager to get more vapour from my mini I may have been overdoing it. Getting much less liquid out the backend now ;)
