Two 22mm XL ITB broke!

First one was 4' drop with a provari onto asphalt.

Second one was a 3" drop onto counter trying to replace the first.

Im going to have to start bulk ordering glass!

Those things are hard to break - you are indeed unlucky Fortunately IB Tanked replacement glass is cheap (there has to be a bright side to this!)

Yeah...the glass is cheap...it's the caps that are pricey!

Does anyone make a stainless tube that fits IBtanked caps?

I have not been able to find any, I asked IBT about it and they said they have to order a ton from their machine shop.

Personally I think they would sell, downside for them would be minimal repeat business on tubes.

I would still use glass but I would like 1 steel and 1 anodized aluminium tube.

I have big daddy and lil mama tanks, I still prefer IBT.

SMOKTech Pyrex DCTank Glass DCTank

Aluminum sleeve over Pyrex. I know they're considered "cheap" tanks but I've been using them for a few months with zero problems. You might want to give them a try...

Can you find steel/brass/aluminum/copper tubing online that's the same diameter and wall thickness as the tank glass?

I would think that if you could making your own tubes would be an easy project with a hack saw or dremel cutoff wheel and a file and emery paper.

For every IBTanked I buy, I also buy a spare glass tube. For me, a spare is a talisman. I only need it if I don't have it.

Nice big (6ml) tank! And, absolutely there are nice tanks out there besides the popular IBT. If someone needs a rugged tank there are plenty Poly tanks out there also- even if you have tank cracking juice.

I would need a lot of spares. I was keeping 1 spare of each size I use. I ordered 4 22mm XL, 2 22mm STD, 1 19mm Xl, 1 19mm STD.

Not to get to far off topic how do you like your Sophia in an IBT?
