Hey Snus! Maybe I'll trade them with you!

Seriously - all good ideas. I can do some experimenting (after I try steeping). Also like the PIF idea. I've been using the 70/30 on a regular basis - I s'pos I should try experimenting with that too.

I'm afraid to waste a carto and/or tank on one of these juices. Now keep in mind I JUST got my new eGo in the mail and am such a newbie, but can I just rinse out a clearomizer or eGo tank if I don't like the flavor and reuse it?

Got a recommendation for a good cheesecake? Sounds delicious!

Lol, we'll trade so I can sell them in the classifieds! :) Seems they are quite popular... I just checked the site and they sound great! Course, I would have picked different flavors... Here are a few things I found there:

"(Select Options with Care: Options are available to mix and match to suit your taste. Care should be taken to not over flavor, (i.e. adding double extra flavor plus extra menthol plus double sweetener plus flavor shots will alter the original recipe and may give it a metallic or medicinal taste.) Always order a 5ml bottle before ordering a larger size.)"

And, this link give you their notes on their natural flavors:
ECBlend All Natural and Organic Status Updates

This tells more about steeping and flavor shots.

You can't just wash the juice out, not that I am aware of.... That is why I thought about diluting the flavor as they may already be overflavored? I hope you aren't still getting any burnt plastic taste, that is not good!

Sounds like your 808 is better than the ego as it runs at a higher voltage..... But, different juices taste better at different voltages... Keep us posted....

I really don't think I over-flavored. Like I said, there was some extra flavor, but of the two double extra flavors, I like one alright. It's like they are completely different than described. Not really metallic or medicinal tasting. They are all opened in a dark cabinet...so we shall see.

I'm scared to try the tanks again because that would mean I'd have that horrific taste in my mouth (and in my brain, really) all day. Ruins any good flavor, lemme tell ya. Will try to contact seller to see if they can help. I'm surprised no one has chimed in about that issue.

I don't really understand the voltage stuff. The 808 is 4.2 volts, I think. But really unsatisfying. I felt like I was always drawing on the thing. With the eGo, I feel like I'm (almost) getting too much of everything. Almost feel like I could drop down to 6mg using this - which is great, really. In a perfect world, I'd have something in between the two!

I'm reading elsewhere that I can rinse and reuse the clearomizers...not true?

Appreciate everyone's input!

Oh, yeah...wash those suckers out and use them to death! There are some good videos on washing clearos and dry-burning them. My bf has had to tweak his sometimes, but I've used clearos on chocolate/vanilla/hazelnut until it couldn't be used anymore, finally. I use the method of taking the tubing off and washing the wicks and then dry-burning the coil after the clearo was dry. There's a video on that. A little more difficult with cinnamon and other strong flavors.

Hmmmm...thought it would be as easy as rinsing them out and they were ready to go. But thanks - I'll look for videos

Hi Val.. how's the EgoC going? Nope, I haven't ordered anything yet... there's just so many dang options out there my head gets to spinning and I can't make up my mind. I absolutely hate attys.. I think I gotta give it a rest for today.. hope you're having some success:)

I'm with ya. I hate this thing. I decided this morning that that was it for me and I started shopping for cartomizers. BUT - then I got a lovely PM that gives me lots of information. So I'm going to go back to the drawing board...for a little while at least ;)

Valsey,
It's easy to crack a clearo and they are way more expensive and not guaranteed.... I did buy another one, but have been afraid to try it. I was up just about all night watching carto cleaning and filling vids.... Even found some where you can make a non-cracking tank out of a juice bottle... Anyway, I have a boge carto that it totally gunked up. I tried boiling it last night to no avail. Then, I saw the turkey baster vid. I think I'm gonna try that in a bit. Looks easier than using a syringe and I already have a baster here. I'll let you know. I don't think they like my dekang chocolate, dark, thick and sweet....

Ah ha ha ha ha - I was up 'til 2:00 trying to figure out the dang atty issue. Too funny. NOTHING is getting done around here! And here I am doing it again today!

But just as soon as I finish writing this I'm going to go clean some cartos too...also going to try the turkey baster. I've used the syringe method (this is all 808 stuff)....worked well. Somehow I don't think that counts as getting something done around here.

Is soaking it in alcohol an option for the cartos? Let me know how it goes for you!

Boy, that's the truth - I know others have tried a lot more than I have, but I'm on my 6th vendor now! I just ordered several more from AltCig for the first time (#7). Had a great chat with Sunny, and if their juices are half as nice as she was, I know I'll be happy.

I would LOVE to start making my own. I guess that's my next step. I know it isn't that hard, but I'm a little frightened and don't know how to begin.

Oh - yep, only getting 3 or 6 mls. of the 'unknowns'

I am on my second order from Altcig and also spoke to Sunny..:) She is just a doll...and I just love them so far...t6374858.gif..curious how you like them....the customer service is fantastic...I am waiting for more banana milkshake along with a bunch of others...so far they are yum*...:) take care...Lee

I think you can use alcohol for the cartos, too.... just make sure it is vodka, NOT rubbing alcohol as you do not want to ingest that! I have to go out for the vodka, not sure when that will get done. I was going to soak my 2 attys. I was dripping on them and they are tasting like crap now... Hopefully I can find the baster... I would say that is getting something done... you are learning about your new hobby and saving money in the mean time.... Kinda like rolling your own stinkies.... It's gotta be done.... Course, no one but you will notice, lol! Weekends should be for play, not too much work....

I'm waiting for my order too. Fingers crossed for Monday...got some spiced cookie also and have high hopes for that one!

My 'that great one' so far is graham cracker...going to have to talk Sunny into putting that on the menu. She's great... so helpful and up-beat!

...except I work from home and did this all week too :(

HOWEVER! I started cleaning the kitchen and found my old 808 battery in the onions! YEAH! Been looking for that everywhere. Something tells me there's a lesson here...

Off to do some basting!

Yep, the Amaretto from High Desert Ecigs is great! It just kept getting better and better as it steeped. Great taste, not overly sweet. I've gotta write up a review for them....

You gotta join us, I can't be the only one wasting away this beautiful spring day on the computer..... If I had ANY discipline at all, I would be out running a few errands and getting an ice cream cone.....

If I knew where and what I'd be there doing it!

So - My vote goes to the syringe. 'course the turkey baster is ancient. Cartos cleaned.

I didn't have the tools to properly flush it and found the mentioned method much easier for me. I hardly ever use syringes if I don't have to. Just another option if you start having problems with a much-used clearo.

Apparently it depends on which brand of clearomizers you are using. :) The new ones from Smokeless Image (1.6ml, 808 threaded) are very easy to clean -- just rinse, dry and refill. No taking apart, no dry burns, de nada.

They're also not very expensive at all, considering how long they can last (although yeah, sweet thick dark chocolately juices don't play well with any hardware . . . :().

Again, good luck! Oh, and, how did your newly-found "onion" vape taste? :p
