Worth it?

I just wanted to get some opinions. I currently have two Vaporshark rDNA 40s, and I was curious if it would be worth it to try to trade one for a Reo mod? This is all of course assuming I could find a trade. My style of vaping is really using tanks (kayfun, atlantis, nautilus), not huge into dripping mainly because it is just unpleasant with nicotine. I wasn't sure if the Reos are like dripping just without the physical act of dripping? I love the VS but curiosity has got me on this one, I know people love the Reo, but I certainly wouldn't want to trade for something I'm not going to enjoy. So, opinions away. Sort of a Reo vs. VV/VW pros and cons.

A little off topic but when you do drip what is your nicotine mg % in your juice ?

The most I can really tolerate is about 3mg, 6mg is still too harsh. That's vaping at around .8 ohms. It's really surprising to me the difference between an RDA and a kayfun or clearo.

With the vapor shark - you can literally put any of a thousand different atty's on it. and have precise wattage to fire any number coil and wick combinations.
The Reo - which I don't own "but why, I can't figure out" narrows the atty field down to a few that excel with it. It is a drippers dream device.. A league of it's own.
It's a different style of vape...
Your new to this and you only vape low nic.. I'd stick with the dna devices..

A Reo is meant to be used with RDA's designed for bottom feeding, or stock non rebuildable cartos or attys. It's not meant to be used with tanks - it wouldn't be serving it's purpose.

Oh yeah, I'm aware the Reo only uses either cartos or bottom feeding rbas, and not tanks.

I'm 3 months into vaping, I think I started at 12mg having smoked a pack a day. Now I use 6mg in my kayfun and 3mg in my atlantis. With all due respect I wouldn't really consider myself new, being that I rebuild my kayfuns and drippers and have a fair knowledge of the products and parts involved. I was just kind of curious what all the hype is about with the Reo.

Reos are dripping, full stop. They're just bottom fed. If you don't like the dripping experience beyond the hassle of actually dripping, the reo might not be to your liking.

That said, dripping is deep topic with many, many vape styles within it, and the Atlantis certainly approaches the kind of experience you can get with a reo/RDA. There are several (over a dozen) different RDA's that have been bottom feed modified (check my sig, for examples) and everything from small chamber flavour-first atties to cloud machine big barrel steamers are available - the point being that "reo" does not mean one thing or style of vape, it's just a change in paradigm.

I think they're awesome, but that's me. Simplicity, effectiveness, durability, and high performance - made by a stellar manufacturer who will get to know you by name, and backed by a very close community.

I've thought about diy juice, I haven't really gone to the lengths of pricing anything out, but like diy in anything else, I figured it'd probably be a bit cheaper. But I'll definitely try 1mg soon, my local smoke shop mixes Mr e to your liking so that'd be the easy way to do it.

Thanks lazarou, that's kind of what I was looking for, to me the way I think of a Reo is a mod for RFAs (rebuildable flooding atomizers, I think I'll copyright that abbreviation [emoji57] ). I know I like the look of them, they're just so clean looking and who doesn't love the look of painted or anodized aluminum? Maybe I'll wait until I find someone I know that has one and see what is all about, until then I'll just hang on to my sharks, sexy little things haha. Thanks for the info though!

A flavor loses its taste freshness pretty quickly, so I use a "few" tanks at the same time. With the REO I would be carrying bottles and having to switch to a "few" bottom feeder RDAs.

I do have RDAs, I just use them at home.

It's kind of personal preference...

The hype is about:

It's a one piece body. No threads to strip or clean and no discussions and lamentations about voltage drop this or voltage drop that.

It's indestructible. Even more now since they have stainless 510 connectors.

It's a self-contained liquid feed system. No top heavy tanks required. No glass to break.

It's one of the best machined devices out there with the best backing in the industry.

The feed system turns using an atty into a single hand process and eliminates the constant hassle of dripping.

I love my Reo, since I've gotten it everything else has been in the drawer. It's easier and more functional when not at home. Literally a 2-3 second push on the bottom and your cotton is good to go. Then you learn blind squonking and don't even have to remove the top cap, just squonk and vape. Easily to replace bottles, I've dropped mine probably every couple days by accident and not a single problem. Plus there is an atty I love with the Reo that is specifically bottom fed. I've been considering selling the rest of my stuff and getting a second Reo.

This is just a personal observation, but when I was using tanks and atomizers, I would keep them filled but over time would find the juice getting darker and a noticeable reduction in the quality of the flavor. This is why I started cleaning and air drying atomizers/tanks and refilling every other refill. When I started using the reo, because the juice does not stay in constant contact with the coils, I stopped experiencing any of the two issues I had before switching to the reo. I just think it is a wonderful thing for my juice to stay away from my coils until I decide I want a fresh hit. Each hit being just as flavorful as the first. The juice in the bottle no longer darkening. The flavors are amazing with the reo and they have definitely spoiled my quite demanding taste buds from accepting pleasure from any other form of personal vaporizers. I may not know everything I need to know yet. . . but I know what I like.
