I just had an idea. Wouldn't it be neat if there were a club where you could try various models of eCigs for a week at a time so you could choose which one to buy? There are so many different types of eCigs out there, and I know I sure don't have the money to try them all! Certainly I'm not the only one with this problem. ;)

I know they have purse clubs like that, where you pay to rent a purse for a month and if you choose to buy it you get it at a discounted rate. I think it would be interesting to be able to do that with eCigs. Renters would have to use new carts, of course.

I also think it would be neat to have a juice of the month club type thing where subscribers could try various juices from various vendors.

Starbucks is awful. Do yourself a favor and go to www.wcrcompany.com and try his coffee. I'm not affiliated with him, just a happy customer. His shipping thing is weird sometimes. He'll refund you the difference.

As of the e-cig rental idea; what about atties? They go bad over time and get gunked up. Not to mention some flavors just stay in there forever. AC is a good example.

I think it's one of those ideas that sounds neat in theory, but wouldn't work so well in practice. With the exception of mods, ecig hardware is essentially disposable. The batteries only last a couple months, the attys rarely last more than 4-6 weeks, and nobody would want to use carts that had been used by who-knows-how-many people before them.

Juice of the month might work better, but only if done by a supplier. Otherwise, whoever ran the club would have to charge the regular price, plus shipping (twice), plus something for their effort. It would end up costing quite a bit more per month than just buying the juice yourself. Of course, having a club run by just one supplier would mean you'd lose out on getting stuff from different suppliers, which is half the point.

I think a "meta" club makes more sense. It would be sort of like a book club. The leader could start a thread at the beginning of each month stating the monthly subject, like "May: 4081 atty and Viking Vapor Apple pie juice". You're on your own for getting the atty/juice in question, but as I pointed out above, you can buy them cheaper yourself than a club could sell them for anyway. People could then use that thread to discuss that month's subjects, and everybody would get to try something they might not have tried otherwise. Worst case, you have a slightly-used atty and some juice to pay forward.

The only up-front cost would be for adapters. There are five "adaptable" thread types - 510, 901, 801, 401, and 4081. Whichever battery you have, you'd need adapters for the other four types. The only place I've seen that has all of them is Heaven Gifts. If there is interest in actually doing something like this, perhaps we could do a co-op order just for adapter sets.

I appreciate your input. I would like to point out that many people have attys that last longer than 6 weeks, mine are all older than that and working fine. My batteries are older than that too, and working fine. I addressed the cart issue in the OP, "renters would have to use new carts, of course". ;) Besides, this was just a fun idea. I'd love it if it were real, but it's not so oh well.
