Well I got my new P-18 today from a shop in Texas (no they have no more. Ben and I cleaned them out). It arrived mid afternoon and at some point the wife came in from shopping and asked if I was okay.
Now she never understood my fascination with stainless firearms even though I was a 27 year law enforcement officer. All I did was hold it up and let her see it and she herself said "wow" when I told her it was not a solid tube of steel.
So 2 fifty something kids sat and played with a piece of the finest metal craftsmanship I have ever seen. Those that are waiting, it will be worth the wait. Pictures cannot do this thing justice. Where the caps meet the body, it is virtually seamless. You have to really look hard to see the minute hair thin line that indicate the caps are indeed separate pieces.
Several hours later I am still like a chimp in a zoo that just discovered how to take a lid off a jar. It glides so effortlessly over its threads it has an almost hydraulic feel with the silky smooth resistence.
To say I am happy would be a major understatement but how does it vape? I wont know until Monday. That's when the USPS delivers my batteries and charger for it. I got the ones from David that he recommended for it so that will be worth the wait as well.
I know there are a zillion other threads saying pretty much the same thing. But I have to tell you, if you appreciate artisan type craftsmanship, you'll probably write your own thread too on your Precise's arrival. Photos to follow in the proper thread when I get up and running with it.
David, you are the man!
