This is my first review. After nearly one year of vaping, I decided to venture out of the world of proprietary batteries. I researched for several weeks and finally decided that a pure mechanical mod was the best fit for me. Of all the other manufacturers out there, the Super T Precise PVs seemed to be the most in line with my personal taste. I read about a million reviews from people that ranted and raved about their Super T’s, but would mine really live up to the hype?!?
With these being my first mods, I didn’t want to go overboard so only I placed an order for a P10 and a P16. I anxiously waited for nearly 5 weeks for them to arrive, but these were definitely worth the wait. Based on all of my research, I had extremely high expectations, but what I was not prepared for what I received. I was completely in awe when I held one in each hand. David can only be referred to as a perfectionist. His attention to detail is impeccable, and the quality of his work is superb. The entire tube appears to be seamless, and the top & bottom caps thread with ease. The threads themselves are not dinky, and I would imagine that it would be nearly impossible to cross-thread them. The surface has a slight texture to it, and it does a very good job in fighting off fingerprints. The action of the button is buttery smooth; it takes very little force to depress the button. The arched notch prevents accidental misfiring, and they can easily stand on end without activating. I’m sure that it is possible to activate it in your pocket, but I think that it would take a lot for that to happen…only time will tell.
Part of the reason why my order took so long to arrive is because I made two requests that are not standard on Super T PVs. I asked David to add vent holes to the P16 as well as a beveled top cap. I requested both for purely cosmetic reasons. The vent holes are angled away from you, and I feel as though it breaks the monotony of the cylindrical shape. The beveled top cap gives the PV a more symmetrical look. These requests can be made for the P16 & P18 but not for the P10.
I won’t say too much about performance because it delivers exactly what you would expect from a mechanical 3.7V mod. I paired my P10 with the AW IMR 10440 350mah battery and Boge 2.0Ω cartomizers. The P16 is running an AW ICR 123 750mah battery and an LR 510 atomizer. For now, both will use tapered Pyrex drip tips until my Super T shorty SS T-tips arrive. I also plan on picking up some AW IMR 16340 batteries for the P16. Both setups deliver exceptional results, but I think that I prefer the Boge 2.0Ω cartos, especially for my more delicately flavored juices.
Due to the beauty of these PVs, no ordinary case would do. I found some Pelican cases with Pick-and-Pluck foam that will enable you to arrange your gear however you want. Pictured is the Pelican 1040 case that will be used to hold both the P10 and P16. I organized it in such a way that I can hold both PVs with three 10440 batteries (I left room to allow for a total of five 10440’s), two 16340 batteries (with room for a total of 4), and 16 cartomizers (that can be expanded to 32). I also purchased two smaller Pelican cases (1010 model) for those times that I decide to take only one PV with me.
To say that I am satisfied with my purchase would be a total understatement. All I can say is “P18 and Shockwave, here I come!!!!!”
