Wow. Hard-core smoker cuts smoking significantly without even trying.

I hand-roll my own smokes, have for 37 years, using European-style tobacco (Drum, Bali Shag, etc.) A pouch lasts me about 24 hours and yields roughly 50 cigarettes.
welcome to the club :)
same here, i've been RYO for the past 10 years or so.... 1 pouch a day (3 for the weekend), Top or Bugler. Gauloises, Gitanes, Lucky Strike, Camel and Marlboro reds before that, 35 years or so all together. I've tried everything under the sun, nothing worked for me (well, i lie, i did some acupuncture for 2 months or so - it worked, but i start smoking again within a week after i stopped doing it)
Last year i saw this kid vaping in the subway.. he just had a quick draw. When i got to work the first thing i did i ordered a V2 kit, i didn't know any better...
Well, it's been over 6 months now (and a couple of mods, a bunch of tanks, 200+ cartos and attys and few dozens flavors) and NOT A SINGLE analog!!! It took me 2-3 days to give them up completely..
Best thing is, i don't have any craving for an analog... sometimes i dont believe it myself :)
Keep it up, i'm sure you can do it! You'll be off analogs in no time!

Minne-soda!
I'm new here too. I've gone from a pack a day for 15 years down to about 6-7 with a cheap crappy ecigarette. Once I get my e-power I have no doubt that will come down to none very quickly. The people here are absolutely amazing. No matter how many times I changed my mind or asked a stupid question they walked me through it. I thank them for helping save my life and so does my family.

Congratulations to you, glad to have you here!

I smoked for over 40 years, too. 1.5 PAD. I tried cold-turkey, hypnosis, acupuncture, wellbutrin, gum, patches. Then I quit quitting. Even thinking about quitting would put me into panic mode. I got an e-cig to try to cut down, and to help me deal with all the times and places that I couldn't smoke. A week later, I realized that I had forgotten to smoke for two days, panicked and lit up a cigarette and it was awful! In order to deal with the panic thing, I told myself that I could smoke any time I wanted to, and I held on to my last pack for about a month. I can still smoke any time I want to, I just only want to about once every 6 months or so (I'm an odd one here - I still love the smell and flavor of cigarettes, and really enjoy catching a whiff when others smoke around me - I just prefer to vape.)

Congratulations and welcome to ECF. Keep it up, there's lots to explore and lots of people here happy to help you if you hit a snag. Every cig you don't burn is a victory.

WTG Bodrell! I was a 2 - 3 pad smoker for over 30 years. I never tried to quit..not once. I was too afraid of failing, plus I enjoyed smoking so much I couldn't imagine being without it. One day I thought I'd give it a try. First time out of the gate I won the race! I just couldn't imagine that I could do such a thing..and with such ease! I have to pinch myself once in awhile..yes it is real :)

So many winners here, you are all awesome.

While I was still lurking here I read similar stories to mine, about long-term heavy smokers quitting or cutting down with ease using e-cigs and I thought "naaahhh, these people aren't as addicted as ME." <roll-eyes at myself>

You're all an inspiration to me and people like me!
