It's amazing what reducing the resistance by .1 - .2 ohms will do to your vaping experience. I have been steadly vaping at 1.0 - 1.1 ohm on my KFL+ clone atop an Nzonic clone for a while now and decided to lower that a bit to .9 and dang! I can really notice a difference in the vapor temp and the amount of vapor produced. Nice!
I can go a little lower based on the amp rating of my batteries, actualy a lot lower with some of my batteries, but I'm good where I'm at and I don't want to push it

I'm at a .6/.7 build using 28g kanthal on my KFL and Nemesis. OUTSTANDING. Might go to .5 but I only have a 5 wrap coil as it is lol.

I know what you mean. When I first got my Kayfun, I built a coil around 1.4-1.6, and put it on my Vamo to play with the watts a little to just kinda feel it out. Then went to the .9-1.1 range (on my mech) and was really happy. Now its a .63 parallel coil and this thing hit like a train. love it, warm and full! A little tricky to get it under the screws but is worth the time. Its a viscious cycle, allways wanting that little bit more lol

It's not that hard. I built my first coil in 20 mins--perfected by the 3rd try. And honestly, I'm the opposite of handy.

All day today I was vaping on my BDC tanks. Got burnt taste, dry hits etc. checked USPS on my phone and my Kayfun was delivered. Anxious to get home and try that sucker out. Up to this point been watching a lot of videos on how to build coils. Kanthal was already here last week.

Now I don't have a mech mod. I'm using my Vision Spinner. Knowing it can handle around 1.8 ohms because of the BDC's are rated there. I found on here using 28ga Kanthal I can get to 1.8 ohms. Used a 1/16th drill bit and wrapped it 12 times. Mounted that sucker on the spinner and fired away. Lit up real nice. Made a cotton wick the size of a toothpick.

Moment of truth.....put everything back together. Waited 5 mins to let it soak in. Bam!!! Vapor was nice and taste was nice. I was like "Wow" was that supposed to work?

So if I can build one for the first time you can also.

Just to keep you salivating for more..

It makes, IMO, even more of a difference, the lower the ohms.

Meaning, going from .4 to .3. Which is one of the really fun things of taking your time and not jumping right to a mega low dual coil setup, but rather, starting at 1.0ohm and working down slowly. Each new level is a whole nother level of awesome.

Ill say this though, myself included, I dont know of anyone who, once they started doing low ohm builds, went back to anything over .8 or so. The vape is just so satisfying.

its not hard man, my first "build" (and i use the term loosley thus the quotations) was rebuilding my Protank2 was a 2.5ohm coil and i rebuilt it (with no ohm metre nothing. threw it on my evod twist n BAM... so i rebuilt my evod tank aswell. a couple of days later my new itaste v3 got here, threw tha PT2 on there and it told me it was 2ohm YAY... after that i "knew what i was doing" so i brought the hcigar kayfun and first build 1.6ohm and fired like champ.

It took me over a year to ever enter the world of building. When I tried my first one it worked! I thought it had to be beginners luck so I tried it again and it worked!! Moral of story, it's not as hard as it seems. You just need to read and watch some vids to get familiar with it. Know your gauges, ohms, batteries. Be safe!

That was one thing I really liked about the Kayfun, it's ease of build and use. I can fill it up waiting for the light to turn green in my car with the handy keychain screwdriver they included. Mine hasn't leaked and changing the cotton at the end of the tank is a breeze. I haven't touched my droppers in two weeks:O

Early on I observed that 2 tenths of an ohm can make a real difference in flavor. I also found myself drawn into sub-ohm vaping by that observation pretty early on. I guess once I had the mech it was just a matter of time, and it wasn't long before I put an RBA on it and started wrapping kanthal on mesh. I think it took about 5 weeks for me to get there from when I started vaping. I use 26 kanthal now and vape at .7 ohm with my DIY juice. I'm a happy camper
