What a coincidence! I discovered this spotting on my battery the other day and to be on the safe side, I chose to not use it again. The battery is less than 6 months old, but everywhere I read, it’s pointed out it’s better to shell out a few more dollars for a new one than chance it. However, now I wonder if I was too hasty in tossing (recycling) it...

Just looking at the pic, that really appears to be some mild to moderate corrosion, you made a good choice to replace those.
