I'm just getting into rba's. What's a good size drill bit to use? 1/16th. What about a good size kanthal wire to start with? 28? Opinions on sterile cotton vs organic? I have both. I don't know if this matters, but I'm using an MVP v2 and I bought a little tiny single coil atomizer (can't remember the name of it). Thanks in advance!

Like he said, what resistance are you wanting to shoot for?

I guess as low as I can get on an MVP. I think that's between 1 and 1.5? Probably closer to 1.5

Yup, I think you want to stay above 1.5 ohms with the MVP. I would try for around 1.8 to start with and you'll see where you want to go from there.

If you have a little RDA like this one you made the right choice IMO. They have tiny air holes which are just right and perform well with higher resistance setups.

I would try 30 or 32 gauge Kanthal on a 1/16" drill bit. Here's a coil building calculator. You need to be gentle when you put the cotton into it.

28 gauge Kanthal is too thick. You'll need too many wraps and it will take forever to heat up.

This thread will help you with what you want to know .... Here. http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/clearomizers/486794-protank-microcoil-discussion.html

Without knowing what you want and what type of tank you are recoiling, it's like shooting in the dark?
Cheers

Ha ok sorry. Lets say 1.5ohm. I'll attach a picture of what I'm using. IMG_5422.jpg

I'm using a 1/16 bit for my kanger heads. Just ordered a kayfun lite clone from fasttech (may see it by my birthday this fall.) Wrapping 30g at about 8 wraps and consistently landing 1.5-1.8 ohms. I will try the same when "cloney" gets here on my VV3 and MVP2s

Sent from.... ooh look! Something shiny!!!
