It happens to almost all of us. Why it happens and when? No one has come up with a good answer yet. You just have to vape through it until it passes. Fortunately for me the first time lasted about four days and the last time it happened it was only an issue for 48 hours.

As CrystalClaire suggested menthol works for me too. It's one of the few flavors I can taste when everything else goes meh. Clove is another one that works for me. Maybe try a strong peppermint... Find a couple few flavors out of your usual comfort zone - strong flavors - that you are likely to taste. For me, especially that first time it happened, it was better for me to vape an unusual flavor I could taste, than to be vaping myself silly while tasting nothing at all. Vaping can quickly lose it's interest if you can't taste any vape.

I Tried a carto i had filled a while ago with a really minty menthol i got off NLV and it doesn't seem to help much actually it seems to mute the flavor even more so to be quite honest that nasty peach seemed to bring more to the table although i been so unhappy and grouchy all day as well as miserable just downright in a bad mood almost sure its either because it has little to no throat hit for me/ its just not menthol, has any menthol vapers found this to be true for them early in the game? when i was smoking analogs (especially when money just wasn't there i had to settle for some Marlboro's i got off my mother during that time) i used to hate smoking anything that wasn't menthol for 3-4 days, id also experience withdraws even though i was still getting my nicotine fix and after that when i eventually got my menthol's again everything was perfect, i know its all psychological but I'm just curious is all if anyone else has experience this dissatisfaction when there taste buds just quit out on them from just vaping to much of a menthol flavor over a period of time and then having to switch to something else that wasn't menthol?

(sorry for the long paragraph i just felt that details were necessary to my problem so as to better receive help from you all)

I don't think it has anything to do with your taste buds. Most of your "taste" is actually smell and it's up in your nose. It happened to me too and then went away. I don't know the reason, but I suspect sinuses more than anything. Maybe that's why cinnamon and menthol "wakes" up your taste buds, because they kind of clear up the nasal passages. Like what happens when you suck on a cough drop.

This happens to me all the time too.

I usually have 2 carto's and my tank with me and rotate because of that. I keep one of the carto's loaded with a cinnamon/menthol juice for all times because of it. LOL When I notice I can't taste my other flavors, I switch to that one for a while, drink more water than normal and chew a piece of sugar free gum. After a while the flavors come back.

I can barely taste anything right now and I'm hating it. I have a glass of water next to me which I swish a bit before I swallow but it isn't helping much. Even what I considered stronger flavors aren't registering.
