I see. I'm thinking I might include a switch to switch between the voltage directly off the connector and directly off the batts. I have a lot of ideas but I need to build the power supply regulator first before installing any add ons.

With the trim pot and constant voltage reading, should not need a regulator.... My vv mod is just for me to slack and play around with attys or vape at my desk. Otherwise I am always holding on to me gg or using the Don in mini mode to stealth vape in public

Come to think of it maybe I should change the shape of my box mod PV. Looks like a IED detonator.

Ya I know. But if I link the pot in series it will severely limit the current going to the atty. And if I parallel the current will be not consistent due to divider rule. Besides. I'm stacking the batts to a 7.4v.

I'm building one so that my colleagues will benefit too. Too much a risk nowadays to bring in.

you will have to link the pot in anyway as it is what will eventually control the current goung to the atty. its a simple device, no need to be too cheem. i am building one for travelling as i will be on holiday soon and i dont want to be bringing my gg or don through custome

u can try lm1085-50 as alternative. Vin(min) is 6.5V though. I've got it lying around in my house and I'm in for 2 days of nagging if my wife fiddling with PVs and she's on maternity leave.... I'm in for a long wait.

I am using the CGi batts from them, feels got more punch than the trustfires I got. And they seems to hold their charge longer but that is my take.
