Creating a thread, uploading images.
XenForo gives you a couple of really slick ways of uploading images to your post.
For the FireFox users (and anyone else who prefers this method), you'll need to use the "Upload a File" button at the bottom of the reply box.
You'll then see this:
Select Choose File and go find the image on your computer.
XenForo will automatically upload once you select the file and you'll see something like this now:
You can now select whether you want the image to appear as a thumbnail or full sized within the post. Don't worry about the dimensions being too big as the software will automatically resize full sized images to fit accordingly.
You can now post the image, or type whatever text you wish to add to the post, then select Create Thread or Post (depending on what you're doing).
Now, here's the exciting bit for Chrome users. You can drag and drop images into the text box as well. (Sorry, there's an issue with the FireFox browser and the way it encodes messages using this method, so FireFox users won't be able to use this feature successfully.) If I get the time, I'll record it in action and add it to this thread.
XF also remembers what you've posted. Ever type up that huge post only to find you clicked the wrong button and closed your browser?
When you log back into ECF and go back to the thread you were going to reply to, you'll find what you've typed already there in the reply box. Slick huh?
If you decide that you don't want to post it after all, delete the text and then click on the little picture of a disk, then select delete draft. You can also manually save as you type, too.
