As I'm not on the forums enough to keep up with all the updates,

(1) I was wondering if there has been any discussion of XL Cartos from V4L at all?

(2) Possibility of plain stainless cartos?

Took the wrapper off and cleaned the sticky residue off.

born, i've thought about it, but extended mouthpieces cool the vapor down for me too much... at least, too much for me to spend $15 on a mouthpiece if i'm not sure it won't. but i'm gonna figure something out, or steal an idea from someone else. cause i use the condom mod mostly. i don't mind it on the labeled ones, but the peeled and cleaned'ns are too pretty to deface that way.

If i have a really good carto (like.. say premium ones over the regulars) and i dont like the color..say black cowboy premiums. I peel of the labels and use sticker paper you can get from walmart of like office max and make my own labels on photoshop. I can make lots of colors and put my name on them. Sometimes i have cartos that get to hot even with the label one. I wrap another label on and then it doesnt get hot. Just a simple way to do it. Im sure im not the only one!

I've heard people using the T tips from Super T for a sweet metallic vape accessory. Anyone tried that?

Yeah I've tried it...I don't drip my cartos so it doesnt really do anything for me other than an looks/extended length thing ...and gennerally when I'm using cartos I prefer things to be short and compact anyway...
my cartos I'm usually using with an adapter on an eGo battery (same as what's pictured) but with the cone/cover on...and it can look a little awkward...
ahh screw it I'll take some pictures in a bit..

Ok here you go...All pics taken on keyboard for determination of scale...all cartomizers are V4L standard cartomizers peeled to stainless or not..

First for size comparison:

From top to bottom: 510 w cartomizer, standard 510, standard KR8, regular KR8 battery with adapter to 510 atty, XL KR8 battery w/adapter to 510 atty, standard eGo, eGo with adapter to stainless cartomizer

Just the stainless cartomizer with stainless tip:

eGo with stainless cartomizer with stainless tip:

eGo with stainless cartomizer and stainless tip between standard KR8 and standard KR8 battery adapted to 510 atty:

End view of stainless tip on cartomizer on ego (so you can see size of opening):

EDIT: as a note I DO use the stainless tip a lot when I want to force myself to take the PV away from my mouth..it's too uncomfortable to hold between the teeth so if I find myself pacifying too much it does force me to put it down...(well hold it in hand at least instead of mouthing it)

Drozd, is that the 510 10-port charger in the last pic? I've been dying to get one, though I wish someone would make a KR808 version of it.
indeed it is..and as you can see it has 2 KR8 batteries in it..$2.49 adapters from madvapes..
Leaford said that they were working on a V4L one that was hopefully going to include a USB port on it for PTs...but havent heard anything more about it..

Very nice. An overseas vendor has the charger for $25, and 5-packs of adapters for $8. I think I'll hold out for a bit to see what V4L comes up with, though.

awesome job man! pics look great, and make it clear.

Thanks!

Thanks..I like mixing stuff and adapters for variety and tweak my vaping experience...so I figured I'd include everything adapted one way or another to be clear on scope of size...
Let me be clear though..the stainless tip on the carto...it does change the balance point and weight substantially..I don't have a scale to check it but the tip itself weights more than a 510 or a KR8 almost as much if not more than the eGo..

Cignot has the charger (that's where I got it) the overseas place (at least the one I was looking at) was $25 for the charger and it didnt have a power cord (you could use the cord from another charger though)...but I think I paid $28 (I think) for it when I ordered a case for a single assembled ecig (for the fiance) and a black w/ purple LED battery (for her as well)...I do like the 10 storage holes behind the charging slots..

I'd wait for the V4L one too..or at least wait to see what they come up with..

Both Premium types are extended in length.

Compared to reg cartos, yea. Compared to the XL 510 i usually use, they seem kinda short at first :)

i lurve my cartos peeled and wish to GOD they would sell 'em w/out labels. i've seen some elsewhere with steel-look labels but... not sure if that would be sufficient. ;)

Another forum member was nice enough to point out that midwest vapor sell stainless KR 808's.

I think it would be good if V4L extended the filler and element barrier further up along the inside of the cart, leaving the element the original length to still allow for heat dissipation further away from ones mouth. I don't see a reason why not, does anyone els?

If you want to change the color all you have to do is go to the craft store and pick up metallic craft tape. I works like regular scotch tape and comes in MANY colors. 1 roll would last forever. I have seen it in a metallic grey which would be close to the color your looking for.
I have purple, silver & red here at the house, never thought of using it until I saw this thread.

Not as spiffy as the above posters pics but easy:)
