Never use lower than 2.4 ohm in smaller batteries
Wow, ok thanks for the good info. As long as it works ill be ok, between the wife and I we have quite a handful of batteries. Ill just get the 2.6-2.8 next time to see what I like better.
Mroutlaw, let me just go ahead and say I really appreciate your YT video. I find myself referencing it all the time.

Personally I like the 2.4-2.6 better, unless you are using top coil ones. I have both the top and bottom coil but like the bottom better. (that sounds bad)
Here's why:
A bottom coil will give you a cooler vape because the vapor has to travel further to get to your mouth (through the tube). The lower the resistance, the more vapor you get and the warmer it is. Because the phoenix is 1.5ml it's longer, thus the vapor has to travel further than on a standard bottom coil volt cartomizer. The lower resistance makes up for that. IMHO the 2.6-2.8ohm one gives too cool of a vapor.
Now, as for the top coil, I use the higher resistance. Because the coil is close to your mouth, the vape is warmer. That's one reason why people use a drip tip with them instead of an end cap
@JoeM86 - Don't worry about hijacking the thread. The thing is that useful information is being exchanged and available to anyone that is following and that's what it's all about. MrOutlaw does have a great video and it supplies some great info. Completely off topic, what kind of auto is that in your avatar? I'm still a wheel gun fan from way back when I carried 24/7.
I've been using my ProSmoke even though I also use my Volt. I save the Volt for after dinner, LOL. Rather than clean the carts for the ProSmoke I've started testing new juice by using the drip method directly on the atomizer, which works quite well. Now I bought some polyester aquarium filter medium, Fluval water polishing pads for those interested, and have started just changing the filler out with it. It lets me control the amount of filler and I've found that it is sensitive to the "grain" of the poly material as well as how tightly it gets packed. I'll still take a stab at cleaning a Volt carto to see how that really works for future use.
Thanks for the great info Mroutlaw.
Can you tell me what the difference is between a Phoenix and a Fluxomizer?
The fluxomizers are ce2's and the Phoenix is a ce3. Bay ally, newer and better technology. Gotvapes works with the manufacturer to tweak the products and thats why they have a tendency to be a little better than other companies who sell the ce2 and ce3
With that said, there is no bottom coil fluxo so we will talk about the top coil.
The Phoenix is sealed better and doesnt leak as much. It has tube A flat plate installed at the end of the tube where the air stem ends to help stop leaking. It has a better drip cup with a tighter seal.
If you look at a close up if the fluxo, you can see the wires coming up in the tube inside the juice whereas in the Phoenix, they are inside of a metal tube, this helps ensure no additional heating of juice.
Having used them both, I prefer the Phoenix . IMHO it's not as flimsy.
Now I know I am not as experienced as some other people on here, however I have done and continue to do a tremendous amount of research on every product I use or contemplate using. Like I said, I have tried both a well as several types of cartomizers and I personally like the Phoenix, especially the bottom coil. After using them, I boxed up and put away all of my regular poly fill cartos
Thanks for the explanation, I really appreciate it. I like the idea of the wires been covered in the Phoenix, that looks like a real plus.
Can you tell me are the Pheonix ones as easy to clean as the fluxomizers?
Yes, I think they are easier. One thing I didn't like about the fluxo is that the tube comes off very easy, which is good for cleaning, however I knocked two tubes off by accident and spilled the juice inside them.
IMO you don't need to take the tube apart, it cleans very easily, especially the bottom coil. Just pop the silicone cup out, fill halfway with water, put your fingers over each end and shake vigorously, dump and repeat a few times. Then, if you need to, do a dry burn. The bottom coil you just fill with water and blow through. It pushes the water out the bottom. The gotvapes website has a video in how to do it
Superb, thank you. Looks like my next order.
I read on another thread SI hopefully will be coming out with a similar product, looking forward to that as they will be tailor made for the batteries.

Can't wait til SI has these..... although, am I gonna want a cone then? I'd want purple and blue to match my batteries... waaaaaaaah!
