XL Battery Trouble

It's a sad day, but I emailed Steve and I'm sure I can get it taken care of.

After only using my XL two charges worth, it has ceased to work. Too bad, because it had become my favorite (between that and the 2 shorties I have).

Anyone else have this happen? Any tricks to fix it? Again, it doesn't work at all...it's weird because it was working just fine, I set it down, and now it won't fire up. I try to charge it and it doesn't matter.

I'm bummed.

Hi Doctor Rock; I am sorry to say I think you are right, there are some threads on things you can try but, it sounds like you have already done the best thing you can which is contact Steve,Mark or Val. Good luck and be Patient they will take care of it.

Auto or manual? If auto, give it a couple hard blows through it to possibly reset switch.. If manual, is the button stuck?

When you try to charge it, does the light on the charger not turn red? Or is it just that the led doesn't blink 5 times? If you overdrained it a bit, it'll still charge, but not look like it's charging at first.

Even a bigger bummer because I'm going to Chicago for business and now I'm one battery short. I guess I'll just bring my PCC and be cognizant of how much I'm vaping and which battery is freshest.

It's an auto. I actually did try blowing through it...then I started dragging and it was firing! Then I stopped sucking but it was STILL firing until the auto cut off stopped it. Then I tried to drag again and nothing...

I put mine on the charger,unplugged and replugged and it started to charge,worked on one but not the 2nd one.good luck!!

1 Of my XL Manual battery's does that-That Green light on the Charger won't come on till the battery is completly dead. Stays Red... The LED Won't even Blink 5 times. Once The Battery is DEAD - Then i Plug in - Get 5 LED Blinks-Then Poof! Green Light on Charger comes on! My others don't Do that ... WTF....

Yeah sounds like a bad switch Sorry. That sucks, but at least you know you'll get it taken care of. Just bad timing.

This is why it's always a good idea to have a few extras.. Never can be too careful with newer mass produced technology outta China

And my other XL manual battery i got about 3 weeks ago-after 1 hour of use (then)-The Button won't Push in/Stuck/won't decompress down. That was 3 weeks ago. They send me another with my next order if i made a purchase. Was like ok no prob. They send me XL Manual back- I tested-seemed ok! Since i have 3 others- i set it aside. Once i go to use it a week or so later since wife had the others-It stopped working too!!! after a half a Cart! LED Light stays on-had to unscrew Carto/Button Stuck too!!! I know how to use a Manual battery! Duh! Working with v4l and getting this one replaced now too!! Other 2 Battery's are fine btw after few weeeks. Bad batch ?

same problem i am having with the manuals . my auto will not work unless i suck like crazy . I just do not get it . btw these were the replacements .edited to add: i did the blow in trick to the auto and no better results .

The thing that makes me little frustrated-you have to keep making purchases to obtain the Battery's/Or problems that you origianally paid for that don't work/not included. Then make more purchase(s) to correct the prob.So i made 4 orders in about 3 weeks-But not once did they OFFER to mail it to me as the INCONVIENCE. Thats why i say all of this!! Now since i said i won't make a purchase for a few weeeks - now they want me to mail it to them(the XL Manual battery-not working(again)?.. And pay for more shipping ? They Know its a PROBLEM with them!! So it will be in the mail tomorrow V4L btw! I have never said that my packages was short/missing of items-I Just want what i paid for without having to spend 4x more in shipping costs then the item does!

Since you're going to Chicago, take the bad battery with you and stop by the shop and make an exchange?

Oh, I hope that's not the case. I JUST ordered three 5 packs of carts yesterday so I don't know if I'll be shopping again for a couple weeks.

My wife and I have had sorta' the same probs. with our new xl manuals...hers only works about 1/2 the time u have to keep pressing the button to finally get it fired and both ours seem to only be good for about 2 hours MAX on full charge...it is still out FAV BATTERY of all time though!!

I have had probs (same as above-simply dead) with my XL autos...3 of them (I have 5 total XL autos). I LOVE THEM WHEN THE WORK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! V4L are replacing them for free. I may order shorter auto ones next time since these were my first I ever ordered. The autos last for MANY hours and I cant stop vaping...so that's one thing I will miss with shorter ones. I SURE the XLs will be perfected SOON!!!

If you PM Mark and explain that you dont plan to order,he will ship it to you.Every other company I have dealt with makes you ship an item back for replacement.If V4l has already replaced it before,I dont think its wrong for them to have you ship it back so they can see whats wrong.Its not unreasonable.
