Hi Folks! :)
I have a xtar VC2s that I just received and I looks like it has Overcharged one of my Samsung INR18650 25Rs and possibly Undercharged the other.
The batteries are a Year old.
The VC2S detects the Charging rate so I can't choose the Charging Rate - I normally charge at 500 mAh but this thing detected and charged them at 1A (which is ok).
I expected that the Charger would stop once the Batts were charged but apparently not because the one diplayed 2771 mAh (!) and the other 2080 mAh nd it was still going.
For the Record, I have been vaping and Charging Batts since 2012.
I totally think this thing is defective.
Neither Batt got hot (both were in fact cold) when I snatched them out of the Cradles.
Neither were swollen or distorted.
I don't have a MM - didn't need one because my VP1 was really good at giving me an accurate Voltage.
I guess I need to get one now.
What the heck.
The Battery Recycle Center is closed for the Day and I'm wondering if I am actually safe keeping this thing in my home overnight, lol.
Right now the Batts are wrapped in Duct Tape and sitting on my Desk.
What the heck.
Defective?
Operator error?
Any opinions?
