I must say vapor production is great, ease of use is great ... But

It tastes wierd. Lol

I have been dripping havana gold on an eGo for a few months npw, and i love it. But it doesnt taste the same on my reo.

Tried a lr atty and a sr atty no difference.

Is the taste supposed to be that different??

I'll say that when I first got my reo mini after vaping on 510s.............I was AMAZED at the real flavor I was missing out on with the 510s. I actually think the Reo makes the vape "flavor" more intense, and true to what the flavor SHOULD be.

Just like a totally new hair style, going from dripping to a bottom fed mod, it's gonna take some getting used to.

I'm glad you finally got your Grand!!

So this happened to me...when I got my first REO. Flavors I liked on the eGo, I didn't like as much on my Mini. So what I found that really changed that for me is that the atomizer being used on the eGo isn't getting the same power it is on the REO...this makes a difference. Don't ask me how...it just does...for me anyways. :) It is possible that it could take a day or two for you to adjust or perhaps a 1.5Ω atty as opposed to a 2.0Ω atty might make a difference. Keep us posted on how it goes. :)

I've been struggling with this as well. I'm currently experimenting with different atty's to see if that's part of the diff. Also as previously stated I think the voltage makes a difference too. You wouldn't think there should be a difference between dripping on top of the atty vs bottom feeding it, but to me it seems there is. I mean, as long as there's juice being vaporized does it matter how it got there? Edit- I've had my Mini for almost two months.

Attys play a huge part on flavor. Try using some different brands of LR attys too. I use a dual coil carto on mine and seems to get great flavor for me. Its never the device that creates flavor. It is the atty used.

That and the voltage (watts) some people think eGo and REO are both 3.7 volt devices ....

Most eGo batts charge to 3.6 and most batts for the REO charge to 4.2 .... that .6v makes a huge difference !!

Thats probably the difference right there. The eGo is 3.2 or 3.3 volts and the REO is a true 3.7 which means you can get 3.9 (4.2 on the batt) volts under load. That makes a big difference in the taste.

If you wan't you can just try dripping on the REO and not bottom feeding. That would eliminate any concern that the taste is coming from the bottle or tubing. If It still tastes different dripping on the REO with the same atty as you drip on the eGo then it must be the extra voltage .... nothing else it could be.

If you were "happy" with the taste on a ego at 3.2v and a regular atty thats around the 4.5-5Watt area. If it was with LR attys, thats around the 6.8-7.2Watt area. To attain the same taste you would need to use a atty around 3 ohms with the grand and a 18650 to simulate a ego and a regular atty, or a regular joye 2.3 ohm to simulate the ego and a low resitance atty. If you want to see what or which combinations will give you similar "vapes" check out the chart on wattages that mlinky posted in another thread... http://img694.imageshack.us/img694/469/wattage.png
