Their (CDC's) own stats show this - they just focus on what they consider the bad and yet, their purpose for decades has been to reduce teen smoking And they ignore the fact - likely because they had little to do with it. Typical misdirection.

News reports give the impression that the Malaysian government was close to banning ecigs entirely and at the last minute a higher level of the government stepped in and over ruled that. A malaysian official suggested that if it's justified to ban ecigs it is even more justified to ban cigarettes. The US government is contemplating an effective ban on ecigs while tobacco cigarettes remain available 24/7 on every street corner in America. That would look so BAD.

The President is a smoker and may still be smoking. We need to present him with a Presidential mod. How about a custom case with a dna 200 chip? For the atomizer how about an authentic Tugboat? Good beginner atomizer. The White House chefs can come up with the presidential flavors. They should be good at that.

Let them vape. If there was a choice when I decided to start smoking cigars and pipes, there would be no contest to which one I would choose. If we HAD TO pick one, then let them vape. Sadly, the "smoke trick" viral videos don't help our cause :/

Loyalists turned to Revolutionaries as TCers turned to THR (while some still rode the fence), lovers of regulation and tradition, didn't like it much, changed there minds. It (along with other incidences of course) led to the Declaration of Independence.

I do wonder if someone is going to take this info and try to use it as proof that the vape industry was selling to minors until states implemented under 18 bans because that basically is what this article is implying beneath the positive discovery that vaping bans led to more smoking in our youth population.

There are many ways this can be spun, and I'm sure those in power will choose to spin it negatively.

My spin would be that age restrictions on cigarettes are highly ineffectual. The most significant decrease in youth smoking in the past five years was due to the availability of something that teens instinctively saw as a "better" option. When that option was made more difficult to obtain, those teens did not choose to abstain, they chose to go with the less healthy alternative.
