YAY! My first Reo is here! Obligatory Pics included

Whew! First Reo just arrived today. So, everyone says the Grand is smaller in person. Well, maybe I don't have man hands, so I think it is as big as I thought it would be, maybe bigger. I definitely wouldn't want it any bigger though. Well, the Mini 2.1 is definitely going to be a necessary purchase to accompany the Grand.

My very first build, ever! Thank you to SuperX for the superfine coil-building tutorials. You make it so simple to understand. My first coil clocked in at 2.2ohms (oops, too high for my tastes). Re-did it with one less loop--1.9ohm. Hmm, well I'm impatient, so we'll roll with that. Pics:



Not a beautiful coil, but she works grand (hehe, Grand). Maybe a tad more cotton (was afraid of too much), and definitely need to aim more for 1.5ohms or so. It's a little to cool of a vape for me.

So, I also got one of those Triangle rba's for spare parts, and it came with THIS (screwdriver is to put it in size perspective):

What the H is this for? It looks like something people used in the 70's at Studio 54 (if you catch my drift), lol. Some type of spoon? For what?

The triangle was repurposed by Rob, one of its original uses was for dry herb vaporizing.

Congratz on the REO Grand! and don't worry your coils will begin to be whipped into submission with the weight of the REOville support.

When I get another reo it will definitely be copper vein, though I love my silver vein, it just needs a hip friend.

I dunno what these guys have been drinking this Friday, but I can tell it's Silver Hammertone - and I like that in your intro, you refer to it as your FIRST Reo!

Seriously y'all, I REALLY want a copper vein for my Mini 2.1 now. I do have to wait awhile, though. My husband would never notice I owned two Reo's if I got them in the same color. But...if I just wait a month or more (as if I could actually wait that long), hubby will totally forget about it. He doesn't vape, nor understand one bit of the obsession with wicks, wires, batteries, juice and why I blow all my spending money on this silliness. SILLINESS--someone is in trouble for such words!

Well, everything I know about the 70's, I learned from movies. I think the "poor" people used $100 bills. The rich used solid gold spoons hanging around their necks like jewelry. And everyone wore polyester and feathered their hair or had perms (men and women alike).

Thanks for the props on my build. I only followed your directions on the tutorial. Except...it's getting redone tomorrow. I need a smidge lower resistance. And I just can't help myself. Must. Make. Coil. Better.

Very nice looking Grand, obviously Hammertone The reflection from your table is giving it a copper-ish tint so I see the confusion.
