Been on and off but mostly on smoking for a long, long time. It's caused my wife who hates cigarettes to really come down on me forever. She got one of the freebies for me and I was basically wowed at how realistic vaping is. So, been a week and just got my Kgo, some ave juices, cartos, and am loving it. But I just sat on the couch and she saw the Kgo and was not happy. Basically bc it doesn't look like a cigarette but a big machine which caused her to question how bad nicotine may be. So, even though I like it it's making her uncomfortable. Do any of your significant others hate your vaping? Do they ever get comfortable with it? Do you still feel uncomfortable doing it in their presence?

Most people I know, their significant others are so happy to see them not lighting up, they have nothing but encouragement for them.

Look around and read up, and if possible share the info with wifey. vaping, regardless of the mechanics is tons better for you than smoking.

The fancy machinery is just our way of getting the most out of it, which helps keep us from going back to cigarettes.

If vaping were more hassle and less enjoyable than smoking, it wouldn't be the great alternative that it is. Our "gear" just helps keep it that way. Not to mention it's a ton cheaper too.

Sure you may spend a little extra in the beginning, but that's just money that would have gone to cigarettes anyway. Once you settle down into "your setup" it's a lot cheaper than cigarettes.

Maybe when she learns that nicotine isn't the problem, tar and the 4000 other chemicals are the problem, she'll lighten up. I have rabid anti-smoking relatives and friends. None of them had a problem with my vaping in their homes or cars once they learned what is and, more importantly, isn't in the vapor I exhale.

What I felt uncomfortable doing was stepping outside to smoke during visits, or jumping out of the car at every opportunity to catch a few drags off a cigarette. I felt uncomfortable smoking in the same house with a parrot and other pets. I felt uncomfortable smelling like a dirty ashtray whether I knew it or not. I felt uncomfortable when I realized, after a visit from someone too polite to mention it, that my house stunk.

If someone is opposed to your vaping and not happy to have you vaping instead of smoking, there is a problem. Either they are uninformed or they belong to that group of folks who are anti-nicotine/tobacco zealots (ANTZ). If they are uninformed, it's easy enough to inform them. If they are ANTZ, there is no point in even trying. Their motto is "quit or die".

If she's uncomfortable with the looks of your kGo, perhaps you should explain to her that now that you are a non-smoker, you don't think it's a good idea to look or act like one. Would she really prefer that you look like a smoker? I guess you could always paint your teeth and fingernails yellow. Maybe wheeze and hack in the morning and cough up some lung butter now and then, if it would make her feel better.
