WET???? With what? Was the packaging wet? Definitely rinse them off; who knows what's going on there.

I ordered a very similar starter kit, btw. The CE4s were fine (burnt one out because I didn't wait for the wicks to wick lol) but then switched to the Evods, as I prefer replacing heads to replacing the entire tank. The drip tip you bought will fit the Protank 2, which also comes with a metal drip tip. I prefer china, glass, or plastic tips as (imo) the metal interferes with the taste of the juice.

Take a look at the options in a b&m store, and good luck!

It doesn't smell like anything. Looks like water, but maybe a little greasy. I rinsed them off.

Everything was packaged and sealed, so it wasn't the weather. Freaked me out! I am not ready for this. And my charger is plugged into USB right now...solid red, but has a flashing green. ... does that mean?!

...I think I need a cigarette before I can learn how to not smoke.

There is a learning curve, Ill say that right off the bat. I lurked here for 18 months if not more, trying to get a handle on the terms and hardware...till I finally saw a kit I liked and jumped in. That was a couple of weeks ago.

Where I am there arent any vape stores at all, so it kinda sucks. BUT ..since I got inerwebs I knew to dig in here for info and its helping.

Watch this video, I keep handing it out but wow its made a difference in my vapin' already.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xrvwOf13U-s

He uses Kanthal wire, the stuff the coil is made of - and makes a new coil, then tests it to see its working, and then sticks cotton in as a wick. The Kanger heads are really tiny but I got a Helping Hands magnifying glass from Harbor Freight - it has a built in LED light too (7 bucks, what a deal). This way I can look super close at what im doing and Ive rebuilt 3 heads so far. Its fun, the flavor and vapor is a lot better than the stock Kanger heads.

My kit I got was a Kangertech evod VV (variable voltage) with 2 Kanger Protank II minis and two batteries. I got 3 5ml bottles of 24mg nicotine too, and vaping that made me feel crispy lol.

My next orders were from Avejuice and Alice in Vapeland, Ave for Boba's Bounty and AiV for a 5 bottle sampler pack - I recently re-ordered some AiV April Moon cuz it was so tasty.

All that stuff in the second order was 18mg nicotine. My last AiV bottle of that April Moon was 12mg nic.

As I keep making better coils, its more efficient at vaporizing the nicotine, I think..so I need less and less.

Ive had cravings but a big honk of vapor and thats over n dealt with.

Another place I got juice from is Ahlusion and their Blueberry-Vanilla is *really* good. I am eager to get some more joose off them in a bit. I am starting to get a collection of small and not so small bottles ha ha.

I also hit up Clark at Nicoticket and he sent 4 bottles: Custards Last Stand (yum, ty Clark), Altered State, Betelguise, and a bonus bottle of Grape Cotton Candy (vaping that one currently). All the stuff in the last go-round of bottles is again 12mg nic juice.

Just dont forget that you have a massive support network here and folks will give you information pretty much at all hours of the day/night. And basically everyone has been through the 'ok im new to this, what do' stage. I am still in that one, I'll admit it.

It gets easier :) But you made the first best step, which is deciding you want to cut out tobacco.

My charger for my ego-t batteries work like that. When you plug in a drained battery, it's red with a green blink every once in a while. As it charges, the green flashes come more often. When it's charged, it's fully green. The green flashing doesn't really speed up in a linear or measureable rate. So you can't really use it to tell how close it is to being charged. And it takes forever to fully charge one of my ego-ts. That was the main reason I got a bigger mod.

Thanks, just wanted to make sure it was semi-normal. I don't want to blow up or catch on fire. Looks like that is exactly what was going on. It went from red to twitchy red/green to twitchy green/red to green now.

Cool. I would use it for maybe a half hour while the other battery is charging, then put the first battery back on charge. After the initial charge, you drain the bat a little, then the next charge seems to go further, and will result in a much better battery life. At least it is that way for other Li-Ion bats like these in cell phones, r/c cars, laptops, etc.

Do the same for the other battery. After that, you are set.

YES, rinse the stuff, get it dry.

Prepare for a stupid grin as you start making clouds!!!!

I think I burned my throat a little bit on my first attempt. I really don't know how much to pull and whether or not to inhale.

Jeez, it's like I'm 15 again. :?:

But I am pretty sure my juice is delicious. Tastes like peach tea.

Just do not draw as hard and long like you would on an analog.

or sometimes the following helps

Drawing on ecig the entire time and press the battery button like this: 1/2 second (without battery button pressed), pressing the button on the battery for about 2 seconds, then releasing the button for the last 1/2 second while continuing to draw on ecig. So that is a 3 second draw, while you actually are only pressing the button for 2 seconds.

Like a did with a regular cig, I take the vapor into my mouth and actually inhale after I pull the ecig away.

I hope that doesnt sound too confusing.

No, that actually helps a lot.

I noticed that when I hold down the button I hear a slight pop/gurgle noise and then I drew it in my mouth, then let go of the button and inhaled. It was better, but I guess I just need practice.

Great, experiment a bit, and you'll find what works best for you.

Enjoy the "practice"! LOL! You'll prolly be doing a whole lot of that!

So it's been a few hours. I've sneaked into the garage a few times to "practice". My experience so far:

Haven't had a cigarette since around 2pm. About 6 hours ago.
Tried 3 juices. Seduce juice Cherub, Mantra and Vapacino. The Cherub was kinda tangy, but nice. The Vapacino was kinda woody, but also nice. The Mantra is my favorite so far, but I'm getting a little aftertaste (which might be my fault somehow) that doesn't taste great. Maybe I didn't do a good job rinsing and drying the clearomizer beforehand.
The equipment is simple. Easy to operate and take apart. The charger was confusing with the odd flashes, but we figured that out.
My husband laughed at me, but cheered me on because it's not a cigarette. He patiently listened while I told him all the stuff I learned today and smiled and said, "okay". (He's a absolute non-smoker.)

Overall, I feel pretty good about it. With time I'm sure it'll be more comfortable. I only kinda want to smoke right now, but kinda not.
Now my plan is to order some more clearomizers and look into an atomizer for tasting. I want more juices, for sure. I get the feeling that I can do better.

Good job, Meggie! 6 hours, no smoke, eh? Wowzers, congratulations!

And it sounds like you're becoming quite comfortable with the new equipment, and you're all ready to branch out to more new stuff! Love it!

I would not worry about the taste of the flavors. Everything in our bodies goes thru changes after stopping the smokes, and the taste buds are primary. It takes time for them to recover, so what you like in flavor now, may or may not be what you like in the future. It's all experimentation for awhile.
