New vaper here. I bought my first ecig about a week ago, and I am almost completely off of "analogs". Little did I know how deep this community is! Everyone seems nice and helpful, and thanks to great advice I've seen on this forum I just took the plunge and ordered an mvp 2. Looking forward to getting to know some of my fellow vapers!

I moved up to the MVP as well
after an expensive cigar habit, vaping is much less expensive

sorry but i have to contradict you this a very inexpensive hobby more so if you smoke 2 packs a day lets do the math :).
here cigs are around $7 per pack x2 = $14/day x30= $420 you are spending on analogs.
your first month buy a provari lets say $160 that leaves you 260 for what ever fashion you want to smoke carto/clearo etc lets say two tanks at around $20-30 each that leaves you 200
bats can be had for $10 per pair of efest 18650 x2 that leaves you $180. charger around $17 ,juice lets say you spend the rest on juice at say $15 /30ml x 11 now you have spent about the same thing you would in a month but actually have closer to a 60 day supply!! so over the course of 2 months that's a possible $420 savings without spending another dime ! after that its all gravy spending only $90 per month instead of $420. now this is just a guesstimate of juice usage but still by quitting analogs well the savings speak for themselves not to mention getting rid of the stink sticks. hell you can even allow yourself a new device each month and still save a good amount of money.

Welcome to the forums!

Mr. Mad almost has it right ... he forgot backups for EVERYTHING... factor those costs in and it's still a savings, just not as much of one. However, after the initial buy in costs for everything, including backups, and you will start to see savings every month, unless you become a mod collector!

The good part about vape gear is that once your done with it and ready to get something else there is always someone else that will buy it. I have used the classified section here on ECF quite a few times when I wanted new toys. So its an investment with returns when you are done with them. Its not like your just throwing money down the toilet they serve their purpose and then you move on.... Unless you break the SOB first!

And if you can't pass them along, a Provari makes a kick .... flashlight!

Well it really depends on how much you smoked and what kind of device you intend on using to vape with.

If you smoke maybe one cigarette a day then you'll probably be ok with an Ego, if you smoke one or two cigs a day then you go out and buy 2 provari's and a ton of other expensive stuff then yes it'll seem really expensive.

You don't need expensive mods or top of the line juice. I know many people who are perfectly happy with an ego and cheap juice.
Most of us just want to indulge a bit and buy an expensive mod. It started as a way to quit cigarettes and grew into a hobby.
