While driving home from Thansgiving, my wife bought me a disposable e cig so I could smoke in the car. I loved the idea of it and at our next stop I picked up a couple more.
I decided to plunge on in and get a kit.
I was looking at an ego/tornado/hello 016 but I don't want to constantly recharge the batteries every few hours.
This brings me to mods. I love the longer battery life of most of the mods out there, but I don't want something that looks like a pipe bomb. And I want to spend under $100.

Thanks for everyone's input.

Mike

I think you'll be good with what you are looking at. From what I've heard, very heavy vaping on an ego battery will last up to 6-7 hours, while less vaping should make the battery last upwards of 10 hours. There are several different kinds of batteries out there in that style(as far as battery size), but as a starter kit for someone just getting into vaping I don't think you can go wrong.

A hello 016 you will not be charging every few hours. You will not be able to kill it in one day. No matter how much you vape, even with a lr atty.

As far as mods go... according to your wants... you will need a mod that houses an 18650 battery. An yes it will be a big honking pipe bomb looking mod.

A 900 mAh ego would serve you well also. Probably only have to put one batt on charge per day.

I only have 650mAh ego, so no experience with the 900 mAh.

If you are looking at a 14500 mod. Which would meet your size requirements, you will be sadly disappointed with battery life. They are usually 900 mAh, and I get more vape time from my 650 mAh ego.

Good luck.

Hi, Bishop! Welcome to ECF! I have 2 Riva and an eGo 900mah battery. The Rivas will last 8-10 hours for me before they need to be charged. The eGo battery will last at least one day. It gets used from 5AM until I go to bed and it still isn't completely drained. I just put it on the charger so it's fresh in the morning.

I like my Pipe Bomb looking PV. lol

Seriously- I felt the same way you do when I first started a few months ago.
In my case, I needed something pretty hard-core to replace my chain-smoking- battery life, vapor and flavor.

I tired a couple of things to no avail and ended up going with a seriously non-cheap, non-lookalike device which I had originally thought I would never do.
And it works so well I bought a second for my backup pv.

What I chose was the GGTS with AVS, and while it is great, it is not for everyone, perhaps...
And it does look more like a pipe bomb than a cigarette....

There are many other devices out there though, and I think quite a few that are not so dangerous looking that still use long-life batteries. It may take some research, but I am pretty sure you can find something that comes very close to perfect for you.

I bought a Hello 016 about two weeks ago along with a second battery, just in case. (1300mah batt vs the riva's 900mah). Oh my goodness, its amazing. I've vaped it heavily for almost 2 days straight and its never run out of power. I have such confidence I will NEVER kill the battery in a day, I gave my bf the extra battery. I would highly recommend it! And since the kits run around $40 (only one batt in the kit though), it makes it an extra great deal.
