Been using it for 5 days, build quality is great. However, the tc seems inaccurate as I've had some dry hits when I realized I had to pump some juice manually. Also the chip wont allow me to take a draw for about 5 seconds which is huge con for me especially using it with the rba as it's suitable for DL.
Your coil is really caked it looks like. Time to clean it or replace it. Caked coils don't develop as much heat, and don't come up to temp as quickly. It also looks like one side of the cotton is getting more juice than the other since there is a dark side and a light side of the wick. I only use rayon for wicking, not sure what your using, but I find rayon wicks a bit better than cotton so you might give that a try if you have access to rayon. The first build I did was just too short of a wick and was all kinds of problems getting a good vape without flooding since the juice level had to be higher in the juice wells to reach the wick. I redid the wicking with longer tails and it started working great. The juice wells were deeper than I thought and more wick made a big difference.
Maybe list your settings for better help here. I'm running 23J, TCR at 0.00088, 360F on 0.295Ohm coil (the coil that came with the unit) and 22 pump setting. I have no problem with 5 second draws and it's not over pumping since it never leaks even when laying it on it's side to charge. It's been a very clean device ever since I made a longer wick, but with a short wick I was constantly flooding and leaking out of the air intake holes.
It was definitely a learning curve to get the settings right, but now it's a predictable, nice vape that's just slightly warm the way I like it from full tank to empty. If you like a warmer vape you'll need to turn up the joules, temp, and pump setting since warmer will need more juice.
Stick with it and you'll get a great vape from this little device. Let us know how it goes for you and what changes you make to get it working correctly.
Edit: Forgot to add... Make really sure you changed from Auto to DIY mode for the RBA. If you don't it will never work correctly!
