i don't know why your #s are coming out so differently. i think that the package dimensions you're giving are throwing it off... if you give it dimensions like that it will think you're sending a box with those demensions. it's not accurate for a padded envelope. i even changed the postal code to the same one you have. and put 125 euro as value. still the same.
Sorry man, you can't use their UPS envelope for anything other than documents.
They have what's called a pak which is the padded one - but again, they say for flat items and documents only and using one of these bumps the price back up to 100 dollars again.
There is no way to cheaply ship stuff like this around the world, other than the ones we know about that aren't quite as quick or reliable as we'd like - you get what you pay for.
If it doesn't arrive soon and the tell you it's lost, I am sure Imeo will sort you out - no problem.
the only thing that has been bugging me was that some customers want better shipping, even from greece, let alone a us distributor. the options are there, UPS, Fedex, and DHL run around greece, and definately inside the US... i dont see why 95% of the eCig websites DONT USE ANY REAL PACKAGE COURIERS.
if i want to PAY extra for shipping... WHY NOT? i would have DEFINITELY paid the difference on the shipping for the gg slim, and had peace of mind. i would normally pay the difference for anything i order online... try filing a claim with usps. even ask vendors about usps, it's SO hit and miss.
No need to get bugged - the shipping prices are huge the workload is also huge and people won't pay for it - it's as simple as that.
i can't imagine shipping anything anywhere can't be done more than one way. i mean he lives in Greece not Antarctica. he lives in a populated area of some sort to be able to do his day job that I've heard he does... so there is probably a UPS pickup option for businesses out there.
Yes, there are plenty of other options at a cost - a cost that people won't pay.
i'm positive the PVs will fit in a SMALL padded envelope, mark it off saying it's a flashlight, and it will feel like a flashlight too.
No problem, except not in UPS envelopes or "paks", sorry.
i'm done with the ranting about this, maybe i'll rant about how great it is when-ever i get it... still just another 3.7v device with a short battery life. sure it's small... so are auto or manual batts. they're 3.7v too, and last for a couple hours. gg slim just looks cooler.
No need to rant at all, I know you're upset you haven't got it yet - and about shipping in general - we all are, but that's life. It ain't your faut, it ain't mine and it ain't Imeo's either. It is what it is.
if i had known the shipping conundrums about the "GG" line i would have bought some other PV or pre-ordered a passthrough from PS, or even just bought something for my car, which actually deserved 150 dollars more than this cause... i wonder how much imeo is making off a slim... 150 us dollars is a lot of money...
Now hang on - it's totally unfair and indeed not correct to blame any of this on Imeo or the GG line in particular. This is a postal issue from Europe to the States - simple as.
if this thing doesn't flat out amaze me it'll be for sale shortly after. only reason i got the slim was the bottom button and the size, that and someone highly recommended it to me...
It's a bloody good device, but it's not worth getting this pent up about it, come on...........
I think you're really getting very frustrated and taking it out on this particular supplier here for whatever reason. This stuff is out of his control. Did you really want pay an extra 100 dollars just to ship this item? I think not.
