Hi all,

I'm not sure if this is technically a DIY question since I am just mixing different e-juices together...but here it goes.

If I have a bottle of 8MG Tobacco Flavored juice and I mix it with an equal bottle of 8MG Carmel flavored juice do I now have a juice that is still 8MG nic or is it 16MG? For some reason I can't seem to wrap my head around it. I do get (I hope) that if I mix an 8MG and a 0MG I will get a 4MG, so I am not sure why this is confusing to me ...LOL

Thanks!

Just think of it in terms of concentrations. If you mix two liquids with the same concentration, then your final mixture will have the same concentration (it won't matter how much of each you mix together). So yes, it's still gonna be 8mg.

And yes, combining an 8mg juice with a 0mg juice will give you a 4mg juice, provided that you use equal volumes of each.

EDIT: In my experience, caramel flavors tend to be really sweet so just add it incrementally to your tobacco juice until you reach your desired flavor. My caramel tobacco juice has only 30% caramel, but that's just me.

still would be 8 mg. You would have to mix it with an equal amount of 24mg to get 16mg strength.

Thank you both...this was what I thought but I wanted to be REALLY sure...and pAth77 I was just using those flavors as an example...I actually mix other flavors but was really looking for the nic level info...Thanks though!

True. But it's useful to use the formula for times when your mixing varying volumes or nicotine levels of juices. You can even use this formula if you have a target of say, 24 mg and want to know how much to use. Well, you'd have to move the numbers around and solve for V1 or V2.

It's probably not a good idea to even attempt to mix juices unless the person was 100% certain of what they're doing.

Well, the OP did ask:

Absolutely. And you are right.

But if someone other than the OP is reading this and thinks about doing a little DIY and maybe they have different amounts of juice or 100 mg juice they better know what they're doing first. Someone asked a similiar question about mixing juice the other day. If someone isn't 100% sure, they should post in the DIY section and get someone to check their math first.
