Adding nic to 0 nic presteeped

Ok so my wife bought me 4 30ml of Monster vape Elite on 0mg.

I usually vape around 8mg and wanted you guys to help me out adding the nic.

I know it dilutes the flavor a little bit but Im okay with that.

I have 48mg/L of 100% VG diluted nic and according to my calculations I will need to add 5mL to each bottle to get it to 8mg.

My math is:
5x48= 240mg of nicotine
240÷30= 8mg

I will have 35ml of 8mg MvE juice

Question is... Am I correct?

Is it 48mg per liter? Or 48mg per ml? Take a look. it makes a big difference. Might just be a typo?

Yeah just a typo sorry. It is 48mg/mL

I used an e-juice calculator, and it said if you add 6ml of your 48mg/ml nicotine to a 30ml bottle of 0 nic, the result is 8mg/ml. You would then have 36ml of e-juice.

Steeping might help it all blend together, but I would just shake and vape!

No, that is incorrect. You have 35ml total volume so you would end up with 240/35=6.9 mg. The good news is that mistake will always make your liquid weaker than you think it is. It takes a little bit of algebra (or an online calculator). The equation to solve is:
(A+X)C=X*B, where A=the volume of zero mg eliquid (starting amount), X=the volume of nic base to add, C=your desired concentration (what mg level do you want to end up with), and B= the concentration of your nic base.

Solving for X you get, X= (A*C)/(B-C). Using your numbers X=30*8/(48-8)=240/40=6. So you would add 6ml of 48mg nic base to 30ml of zero to end up with 36ml of 8 mg.
