I've had an EGO for five months now and having tried lots of options, including the Liquinator tank (now my second choice) I recently fell in love with madvapes Ego Mega Dual Coil Carto (EMDCC). Great vape, goes most of the day on a fill up, very hard to "burn". Give em a try - they are great. Only $2.79 each and last about a week to ten days depending one what juice you use.

I second this advice. I tried boge cartomizers briefly, and used ego type A tanks/atomizers for a month or more. But once I tried the EMDCC's, I've quit experimenting. I've been very happy with them.

Mine last around 10 days on average. In theory, you can wash them out and use them again, but in practice, I had good results with that about 50% of the time, and the other half didn't work well after washing. And since they hold so much juice, I decided that trying to wash them was too much trouble, and saved little money because I ended up wasting juice. At 2.79 each, I just replace them when needed. I wash my old ones out and throw them in a "used" box, so in an emergency I can get to them - but I hope to never need them. I go through about 3 a month. Even if I use 4 a month, that's $12. I used to spend that much on cigs every day.

They come with a flat tip (which I like best, and seems to be most popular) or with a nipple tip. The tips are interchangeable, so the first time you order, I suggest getting one of each type. That way, you can try both and you'll know which you like best.

Other than suggesting the EMDCC, I'd recommend that I'm pretty happy with my 1000 mah eGo batteries. If you have the standard 650's and the don't seem to last long enough between charges, you might try the 1000's.

Linky to the flat tip EMDCC's.

I saw this place and wondered if anyone had any comments on them or someplace that offered the same kits at a better price

https://www.cignot.com/product_p/kit-ebt-all.htm

I believe you already have a set of eGo T batteries, so you don't need to order a kit. You can just get an ego T type be atomizer and a matching tank, and they'll work on the batteries you already have.

one of these...
https://www.cignot.com/product_p/egt-abl-all.htm

And a 5-pack of these.
https://www.cignot.com/product_p/egt-tbk-all.htm

Would let you try them.

The atomizer linked in this post is a Low Resistance atomizer, which I'd recommend if you want to try the type B ego tanks. If you don't want the low resistance, then they have this one instead.
https://www.cignot.com/product_p/egt-abt-all.htm

I've never used the type B tank system. When I was using the type A system, I would use an atomizer for a week, then swap it out. The fresh one went on my battery for use, the one I'd been using I would wash out with isopropyl alcohol, and then set it aside. You want to give anything that you wash with rubbing alcohol a *lot* of drying time (2-3 days at least), but for me, I just did the swap once a week, so they had a week to dry out.

If you go this route you might also want to order silicone end caps.

Those are supposed to help with leaks.

Personally, I think you should try the EMDCC's first. After you try them, I don't think you'll need to experiment with these. :)

How dose this work? I use cartos but have no tank experience, it sounds interesting. bnrk
You can build your own tank out of 2 20ml syringes for 5 Dollars or look around and you can get prebuilt tanks for 15 Dollars. You use Stainless Steel cartomizers with a hole punched in it and put it in a tank and it makes a large automatic cartomizer filler so you don't have to keep filling your carto but topping them off. They also make your carto's last a lot longer because they stay moist all the time. Hope this helps.

Cignot provides excellent customer service. I ordered my eGo kits from them, and also subsequent accessories. They are one of the few "authorized" Joye Tech vendors sanctioned on Joye Tech's website (FWIW). Can't go wrong there.

My thoughts are getting the 2nd eGo kit will give me some spares for when things go south, longer battery life and larger “B” tank will be a bonus as the type “A” is just not quite enough to get me thru a full day at work
I think I’ll try the EMDCC's as they sound good and also try building tank mentioned out of 2 20ml syringes as that will give me something to do
I want to thank you for all the information I’m on week 2 and already I have gone from 2 packs a day to a pack every 2 days
At first the taste was weird but now I am starting to prefer it to analogs

Have a serious look at these.
GV VISION ExTReMe™ : GotVapes.com, E-cigarette Supplies - Atomizers Cartomizers Mods Juice and more

The giants are Ego sized in diameter and hold 3.5ml
They also come in smaller sizes. 2.5ml or 1.5ml.

Disposable cartos with a good lifespan. Easy to fill without tools. Not a bad deal at all as these do last for many refills. You should find them to cost well under a dollar a day (averaged out over the lifespan of the carto) to operate including the liquid (kind of depends on the price of your liquids...I vape around 4ml a day...DIY or purchased in bulk). The Giant Visions I have tried so far have lasted weeks and are still going strong.

+1 for the Reo.
Pro:
- it's a beautiful gadget. (I love metal gadget!)
- just fill the bottle, put in a freshly charged battery, screw in a 306 LR atty and I'm good to go for about 2 days without refilling or recharging.
- it's a mechanical pv. So it has some pros/cons being a mechanical device.

Cons:
- a bit bulky, since it's a bottom feeder, I think Reo grand/mini are quite compact compared to other bottomfeeder mods. But still, some people hates box mod.
- Pricy. But you get what you paid for.
- It's a mechanical device... Like i said earlier.

Or get the Provari.
Pro:
- it's beautiful!
- consistent performance till the batt run out of power.
- Great for any carto/atty you have.

Cons:
- provari use a 3.7volt battery and boost it to any voltage from 3.3 - 6.0 volt, so It drains the power faster than a standard 3.7volt pv.
- pricy, but like I said... You get what you paid for.

My advise: get both!

Cool. :) I was a 3 pack a day guy, and when I first got an ego, I dropped to about 1.5 overnight. I'd been told "No need to force it, take your time, vape when you want, smoke when you want, and if you want to stop smoking, it will happen". And that worked for me, so I think it's good advice. :)

Took a couple of months, but I'm 3 weeks without cigs now, and I haven't stressed at all. It's been easy. When I as still smoking and couldn't get off the last of the cigs, I would get cravings after eating. I got some juice with a higher nic level than my normal vape, and started to use it (via atomizer and drip tip) after eating. As soon as I started doing that, my cravings went away.

Now I hardly use the higher nic juice, and I don't get cravings that my regular won't handle, so that worked out well.

The thing is you have to do what you feel comfortable with, I've been vaping for a year and a half but every now and then I want a smoke after dinner. So i indulge, lol, I'm 41, think I'm allowed

I don't think there is anything wrong with that, but I'm not convinced I could do it. Right now, 3 weeks of non smoking, and I don't feel a need for a cigarette. But I'm not at all convinced that if I told myself "A cig after dinner is OK" that I wouldn't end up smoking again. For me, I think I have to plan on not smoking, because if I open a pack and light one, I'm pretty sure I'm not going to stop at one.

I would like to smoke one again, maybe in a month or two, just to see what I think of them after I've been off them awhile. I've heard a lot of people say that after they switched to vaping and tried a cig, that they hated the cig. I'd be thrilled to find that for myself. But I don't expect it. I expect to enjoy the hell out of that cig, and want more. I'm not even willing to risk it until I've been off the cigs for a lot longer than I've been off them so far.

I agree but knowing my past experiences once I quit ....that's it ....I don't want to find out how that cig tastes I want to remember it as evil and leave it alone.....with patches and different methods I have been able to quit for about 3-5 weeks then I think "ahhh I can have just one" bottom line ..No I can't
