I lot of newcomers really want a DSE901 or an RN4075. My experience with them was not good. But as the adds on TV say, "your results may vary". So if you want one of these ecigs, here are my suggestions.
First of all, the quality of the DSE901 and RN4075's pale in comparison to the quality of either the JOYE 510 or the RN4081. So you might want to reconsider your purchase.
Nonetheless, I tried both the DSE901 and the RN4075. I got both black and silver RN4075's from Totally Wicked. As others have noted, the atty gets hotter in an RN4075 than it does in a real 901--the vapor is better than with a real 901. And of all the RN4075 and 901 attys I purchased, an RN4075 atty has lasted over two months--much longer than the real 901 attys. But even the RN4075 attys did not last as long as the 510 attys. If you want a 901-style ecig, I recommend the RN4075 from TW as follows:
- Get the silver colored starter kit, where the finish is not painted. The paint chipped very easily on my black RN4075's. The paint on the real 901 attys actually started to dissolve.
- A pack of five extra atty's to bring the total atty's, including those in the starter kit to seven. This should insure you get two or three good attys.
- Don't waste any time on attys that do not work right out of the box.
- Go ahead and chance it with the two batteries in the starter kit. But be prepared to order additional batteres if necessary.
- Use the straw mod with your own polyfill on your first vape and subsequent vapes.
- Absolutely never overfill. Overfilling will very likely ruin the batteries.
I consider the RN4075 to produce "dense" vapor vs. the JOYE 510's "thin" vapor. Personally, I found the dense vapor made me sick and I had to switch to the JOYE 510. Your experience may be different.
