Thanks everyone for your entries! Your stories are all inspirational. I announced the winner on the website.

This was my first contest, so I learned some things about running one. Next time I won't set a total word limit. It was alot of fun, and I'm already planning another one geared towards newbie vapers.

I'm just curious... out of all of your entries (which wasn't very many) only about 1/3 of them fit in with the 100 word limit, and the winner also had under that amount.

Does that mean that all of those other entries were not even considered in your decision to choose the the winner?? I just hate the thought of all of those people pouring out their heartfelt stories, and then being disqualified because they used too many words to tell it!!

If you were so set on having them all 100 words or less, perhaps you should have had a program that automatically cut off the words at that point... forcing people to edit their own content and stay within the limits, or at least given them some sort of fair warning...

There was another contest here recently of a similar nature, only they had a MINIMUM of 250 words... and I saw a post where they mentioned it to a person who had not met that requirement, so she had a chance to lengthen her submission.

You might want to rethink just how fair this contest really was to begin with...

I just wanted to say thank you to Marvin. I never expected to win and it was amazingly kind of him to give away a $100 gift certificate. I have used the certificate to purchase one of the new 510 tanks and goodies for a friend who is fighting cancer and recieving daily radiation treatments. I hope he will be able to make the switch. Hopefully this will help him win his struggle. So thank you very much because without the gift you gave me I would not have had the money to help him. HUGS! :)

Congrats Lambch3p!! It does my heart good to know that the prize went to such a caring person, and I wish your friend peace and hope in his battle.

The first prize I ever won through the ECF went to a friend of mine who has COPD, but she still isn't quite ready to give up her 'ciggies'... :(

I am a cancer survivor myself and realize that everyday is a gift. I got very lucky. I always try to appreciate and share the good things in my life hoping they will help others to feel the same. :)
