I've got mine coiled, wicked and fired up now!

I'm using 32ga Kanthal at 2.5Ω/7-8w with a rayon wick.

This the v3.1es is very similar to the Lite version and, with a bit of tinkering, works just as well.

On the plus side: this version comes with the clear tank – on the Lite I had to hunt around for that option; the construction is, as expected, clean with smooth threading on each part; has an assortment of replacement parts and wick included; and is clearly marked with the manufacturers name. That last one I prefer since it can’t be resold under false pretense – someone else complained about that in an earlier thread, but I don’t see the problem.

Negatives: I’m not crazy about the fill hole and I’m finding it messy to plug in and pump the bottle – I like the idea, but I find myself defaulting to the sink to be safe and catch the drips; I’ve had a couple of juice dumps, but that’s more finding the right amount of rayon and getting used to the filling without over-pressuring than anything else… I’m finding very little to complain about on this RBA.

Overall, this appears to be a very precise and well-built mod. I’m finding vapor production and flavor are very much as I expected from a Kayfun model. Once you get to know it I think you’ll find it’s dependable and worth having in you inventory!

Well, I got mine yesterday....finally fiddled with it today. I don't have any other kayfun type models to compare this to, but....as an initial impression.... I very much like it! Don't wanna say too very much here as I'd like to spend some time with it before commenting fully, BUT as of right now....I want more of them :D

I will say, based on another comment that was made in another thread......looks can be VERY deceptive. I have found absolutely nothing wrong with any aspect of the finishing touches on this puppy. The milling is fluid and smooth. No burrs or nicks or rough spots that I can find. Very well made.

We honestly thought the put this out very very professionally down to the packaging, instructions, etc.

absolutely agree! Quite impressive.....especially compared to some other tanks and such that come with no instructions, very limited packaging, etc.....They definitely took great care with this one, both inside AND out

Keela what kind of coil and what ohm do you have?

honestly....I tried out the pre-coiled one that came in the little pack.....unwrapped it to get about 1.8 ohms. Have absolutely no complaints on those pre-wrapped. Another tank fill or 2 and I'm going to try the braided wick that came with it and use some of the tempco kanthal to about 1.5 to 1.8 ohms.

Well, the temco decided to be difficult with me so I resorted to some other Kanthal still at 1.8 ohms

Liking the braided wick that came with this tank, a lot. NO wicking issues in any form.

I'm at a loss for words with this tank....I really do love it! This is the first rebuildable I've received that I have not had an issue with my wire legs breaking under the screw heads. Will be adding more to my arsenal!

The only thing that I can think of that would make it better, for me at least, would be if they could find a way to use a pyrex tank on it.
