Thanks Drifter! I'm having a blast with these. Both of these were what I like to think of as "Rescue REO's"....nothing a repair kit couldn't tighten up!

OH, BTW guys...if you happen to rescue a REO..don't skimp on replacing the spring. I thought I would "save" the new spring since the old springs weren't collapsed. Well, I felt as though I was getting too many weak hits & misfires so on a hunch I went ahead and replaced the springs.
NIGHT & DAY difference.:shock::shock::shock::shock:
.....felt like such a cheapskate!!

in short Replace the spring on your used REO's folks.

So, are you saying that the old spring was weak and not pushing the battery enough upward?
