I got my ZAP yesterday.. First thing is, it adds alot of weight and length to my Provari. Hmmm for me its a stay at home set-up.
Since I started vaping 3 years ago I have always been a direct dripper.. I love the HH357 attys, great performance and flavor in a SMALL package..
The ZAP does produce large plumes of vapor once you learn how to draw it correctly, it does seem abit airy though.... Never been a tank lover, but it was to cool to pass on. Im on the fence, I just dont think I will use it that much... Might want to sell it.....???

I have been growing accustomed to it very much. I have sent some 357's into Hanna to have them respec'd so I need something that is dependable to use. I have been using my Zap non-stop since last thursday and I love it so far. It is my all day-bring to work vape. It does add some weight to the Provari, mostly the top of it. It is almost as if the Zap weights more than my Mini Provari, lol.
I have changed the way I vape when I use the Zap. I also made some custom juice to compliment the way it vapes. I normally vape an 18mg strength, I have been vaping 10mg with the Zap. I think I am going to lower that down to about 6 and see if it still works for me.
I do not normally take straight inhales with ecigs, never did for smoking either. I have been doing it with the Zap due to the airy draw, I can not pull enough vapor for me with just mouth pulls like I am used too. I do like the new way though and it will be exclusive for the Zap.
For me, it has a new home, I understand some will not like this, but for me, I have allowed myself to change the way I vape when using it and it works fabulously for me.

I think I still like dripping on cisco306 best.

the ZAP is more of a juice hog than a "more efficient" way to vape nic... meaning each toke you are using more juice than other methods like dripping.

it is heavy.

I'm satisfied with it, but doubt I will be using it all the time. 306s taste better imo.

mine had a burr in the fill hole that I had to ream out before I could get the syringe in there, but it was an easy fix.

I know what you mean about being a juice-hog.... Direct dripping is still # 1 in my book...

I want to take back everything bad I said about the ZAP......
Skyway my freind you were right, I LOVE THE ZAP in its own way>>!!
And to think I almost sold it yesterday at a loss....
Heres the deal, yes you must take a primmer puff to get it going good, then draw slowly and take some puffs like a cigar. You will get the biggest smoothest hit with tons of nicotine delivery :) It can make you dizzy.... Skyway said it best, you will change the way you vape. . The stainless steel wick material is the best, you can dry burn it with no burnt aftertaste like most attys. The look? You know-its a flawless one piece VV mod/tank/RBA.... An all in one mod.
The thing is, I still think its to long and top heavy on a full size Provari..
It is made for the mini with the 18350 battery... The mini with the ZAP and drip tip is the same height as a full size Provari with 18650 battery and drip tip...
Has a great feel in the hand, feels balanced.. It does burn more juice but the hits are so smooth and cool, that you dont relize how much nicotine you are really getting... I can make myself sick from it-to much nicotine... Granted I do use 30mg with HH357s and never felt overdosed. Im going to buy some 18mg and give it a try....

If you can afford it, buy one.. A great a accessory for your Provari... But for me it does have its place, those HH357 custom atty are hard to beat if your a dirrect dripper like myself... Still the best way to vape IMO.

P.S. I usually fire my Provari with my thumb, button down,
With the ZAP you need to keep the wick at the bottom so it doest get dry.. On my full size that puts the button on the top, but on my mini it locates it at the side.. Provari caps need to be put on so when the ZAP is screwed on the wick lines up with the button, that way the Provari button will be in a natural firing position and the wick will be at the bottom when vaping... Provape you understand what I mean?

I am trying this myself as a couple others have found. I got an extra set of O-rings and if you use the bigger of the three(the one that holds the top cap on) and put it up inside the bottom of the Zap, once you screw it on, you can adjust the section of where the wick sits according to your button.
I line my wick up with my button and I use my button with my thumb pointing downwards when I vape, so everyone will be different.
The way you vape sounds very similar to me Riverboat, except for the nicotine count, lol. If I am not using the Zap, I will be using my 357's, only with 18mg.
Today I tried something new and was vaping 0nic in my Zap all day, I wanted to see how long of a straight inhale without killing my throat. I have lasted all day with no urges. Granted, I have been off of cigs for two years now. I can not seem to do 0nic with my 357's since the nicotine is what gives me the pull sensation when I inhale. I am not a TH person, but I do like my pull, not sure how to explain it. I guess it is just a small TH.

i threw out my hh357's cause of the z-atty. i have had mine since june and will not touch anything else. i may be a fanboy but it is justified, there is not much better. once you get the hang of it, draw vapor properly and use appropriate wicks(i do not like zens wicks!!! not dense enough for me!!!) there is nothing that wicks or tastes better.

I own a DID, I was in love with it... then my ZAP arrived.

At first, I preferred the DID. I had issues with the ZAP, the coil looked like it was firing fine and the first few vapes were okay, then it got dry, I tried tipping it to 3 o'clock and that worked... kinda.

I removed the stock wick and the plastic insert, got myself a bigger hole, rolled up a fat tight wick from this 270 ss I have laying around, wrapped a 3/4 wrap of 28 gauge (1.3 ohms) and set it to 4.2 volts, BINGO! That's what I'm talking about beautiful tasty clouds and no dry hits.

Now... ZAP >>> ALL

Riverboat - if you haven't heard of the o-ring trick to align the air hole and button, here's what ya can try. Put an o-ring on top to the Provari's drip rim, then screw the ZAP on, you should be able to find a 'stopping' point that has the ZAG snug enough to 'fire' and have the air hole lined up. Some people stack o-rings in the 'well' around the 510 connector to do the same thing. I use Danco #35 O-rings, 11/16"OD x 9/16I"D x 1/16". If you have a ZAP repair kit, I think the top cap o-ring is an OK size to use, also.

Thx Mike for the tip... I did sell the ZAP.. To many issues for me.. The button being miss lined was the least of the problems.. It was the weight it added. Putting it on my mini doubled the weight/ and on my full sized Provari it was to long and top heavy.. It would of never left the house.... Plus the ZAP top cap, as you can see in the other ZAP thread one has already poped off....

I've had mine since Saturday, and my tank cracked last night :( It's okay so far, not as good as some of my other gennies IMO though. I've tried the zen wicks, and eventually resorted to making my own wicks with no insulator at all. I'm going to give a little while, and fool with it some more and see if I can get things to improve.
