I have been smoking for 18yrs 1 pack day but the last 2-3 years I have now reached 2 packs a day. It is "TIME FOR CHANGE!" Start date Nov 10th 2010

Day 1
- 3pm received my prosmoke (401). vaping 24mg carts it came with about 3 vapes every 30mins.
8pm starting to get a headache.
9pm Took a 30 mins nap Headache was gone but I need to cut the nicotine I think. Giving up on the e-cig for the night.
9:10 Back to analogs for tonight :(
Results for day one- Smoked 25 cigs total so cut down by 15! (It didn't show up until 3pm though)

Day 2 - Woke up smoking regular cigs. Spend a lot of the day searched online to find somewhere to get juice locally so I don't have to wait for another shipment. smoked about 10 cigs throughout the day. Found a place about 30mins away at 3pm. Got there at 3:30 went home and filled 2 carts…. 1 with 18mg and 1 with 0mg place an atty on both and put in a case. If i had the urge for a smoke like i need one. I puffed about 3 off the 18mg. If i just felt fidgety I took a bunch off the 0mg. (Doing this to avoid a headache from 2 much nic… I am now starting to think maybe lower nic levels but more of them is better. I am going to try that tomorrow)
I did cheat 2 times today. 7pm after dinner I lit a newport and took 2 drags. and put it out right away and left it in the ashtray.
Again at 11pm I saw the cig in the ashtray and lit it and took about 4 drags. I think if it wasn't there I wouldn't have done it the second time. Not sure :(

Its 1 am and im going to make sure to top off booths carts tonight. I am going to top off the 18mg with some 12mg that I made myself. I am thinking that maybe it would be better to smoke the 12mg more often then the 18mg less often. Maybe that will totally rid any urges.

I have been told that a 501 gives better vapor so I am going to pick one up tomorrow. I hope that I can wake up and start to vape in the morning without going straight for a ciggy.
Results for day two- Smoked 11 cigs total so cut down by 29!


Day 3- 7am Woke up a little early DID NOT reach for a cig I grabbed the prosmoke and took about 5 drags and seemed to do the trick. Its now 8:15am and im a tiny bit on edge like I want a real cig but its not unbearable.

I found a GREAT deal on 501 ego and accessories so I ordered that from the local co. I will probably go pick that up this afternoon.

9am CHEATED 4 drags off a newport. DAMN IT!! BUT on the brighter side it tasted gross.. hmmm thats cool actually. The after taste is disgusting!!! Maybe im starting to prefer the ecig taste?

Well after that slip this morning I was good until 5pm been on 12mg all day. Just had a few more drags of that cig from earlier. I thew out the rest tho.

11pm Man this has been my best day yet, the eGo I bought today is a huge help. ONLY 1 cg today WOW!!
The real ..... is going to be tomorrow because only way to beat 1 cig is NONE so we'll see.

Results for day three- Smoked 1 cig total so cut down by 39!

Day 4- 8am Off to a bad start woke up lit and took 4 drags of a cig oh well I think in the mornings its because a cig hits me soooo much faster then vaping. Throat still a lil funny not sore but hard to explain. :(

1pm Ok been good so far only vaping

6pm Still good even after dinner Vaping

7pm wife ...... me off smoked about half a cig. ERRRR

1am Today was actually ok even though I did smoke twice it wasn't a difficult day. This is getting easier for sure.

Results for day four - Smoke 2 cigs total so cut down by 38!

That throat thing goes away after about 2 weeks.

Day 6- Another day no CIGS woop. Didn't even think about them. In 5 more days I will consider myself completely converted. My next post will be in 5 days unless I cheat but as of now I don't think that will happen.

So far what I have learned is:
1. Finding the right nic strength for YOU is important
2. I think everyone should start with a 510. Doesn't have to be an eGo or anything fancy but the 510 seems to be a great ecig to simulate real smoking.
3. When staring off the WORST is as soon as you wake up in the morning. When you smoke a cig the nic hits you FAST. with an ecig it is much slower. vaping as soon as you get up will not provide the immediate satisfaction you are looking for. But over a few days I have just totally lost interest in analog cigs even in the morning.
4. Writing a daily journal is important especailly in the begining write as often as you have something to write. It helps you see your progress written as proof. When you read what you did the day before you want to do better today! And you are excited to report that to your journal. I feel it sort of therapeutic in a way. Writing out your thoughts, feelings, reactions, ect not only helps you but will help others learn from your experiences. Eventually you will not have much to write because all these thoughts and feelings have subsided.

Results for day 6- Smoked 0 cigs CUT down by 40!!!
